Abdul Razak
« on August 10, 2018, 06:04:17 pm by RedRover45 »
Sat here in the Ullevi Stadium, Gothenburg watching the Swedish Premier League between IFK and IK Sirius and thought I recognised the crab like midfielder for Sirius. None other than Razak.
Let's see if he's improved in the last couple of seasons.

Two connections to that comment. 1) Watched England lose to Sweden in that stadium, 2) I have Razak's signed DRFC shirt in my garage. Just wondering which is the worst experience.

Watching England loose must win that one. At least you can wash the shirt and hopefully loose the signature. At least then you have an old Rovers shirt.

Not sure that England played in the stadium I was in SM. Gothenburg play in the smaller 18800 capacity newer stadium. It's the one next door, the 43000 capacity one that I'm guessing the international was played in.

Yes you're probably right, it is some years ago though. It was known as the Ullevi stadium then, so I assumed it was the same one. We lost 1-0 to a goal by Ibrhahimovic , and I've hated him ever since!

With no thanks to Abdul who was his usual invisible self, his team Sirius actually came back from 2-0 down after 70 mins to actually win 3-2. Cracking match and enjoyed by the 100 or so away fans.
