I repeat it here because it made a very good point - and one which I knew would become "valid" at some point BUT did not expect it so quickly after the Scunny rout


The Board don’t do knee jerk reactions but some of the fans certainly do.

We’re having a great start under McCann and it’s giving a very encouraging indication of what he is capable of delivering for us. It’s important that people remember that if and when we do hit a bump in the road.

He’s shown the blueprint that he wants to achieve consistently with the team and I think everyone is enjoying it. There are bound to be times when it doesn’t quite click into place and that’s when he’ll need the fans to keep the current level of enthusiasm and backing more than ever.

I'm sure you're a top parent, Spilsby. To start with you've introduced them to the best football club in the world. Best family anyone can have. Now that can't be a bad thing.

It means the world to me that he walks out.  Someone that has suffered since the age of one. But he gets on. Our first game together was deeping. He is a DRFC Supporter now. Seeing my son walk out on the pitch, omg. I will have tears. He started with his juvenile idiopathic arthritis in one joint. Now it’s in 10 joints. To look at him, he looks like any normal kid. It’s the pain after.

They were stronger but less technical in midfield they ppressed to stop us playing. The midfield three had their least effective game today.
Saying that if JM had scored and also after that Copps had only the keeper to beat and passed into his arms, it may have been a different game. Also after they scored JW header should have been oh goal, he does not produce enough quality headers when attacking goals.
Then JM blasted over when he should have scored or made the keeper save it.

So although we lost we must take it on the chin and learn from it.
MW must realise there are other players in the area when attacking.
Not sure Copps is a wide left front three player, I’d start Taylor on Tuesday to see how effective he is in that role. Or start Blair, and I know he has his faults in the middle three and move TR to the left of the front three.  We will see what GM does. But it’s taking chances and getting the balance right of the front three.
