I went to his last fight in Belfast on Saturday,he was on the undercard for the Carl Frampton fight, Fury looks a lumbering fool who will get totally humiliated by Wilder .

Pretty much everyone (including his trainer) is saying he needs more fights before he takes on Wilder. Although he's lost an incredible amount of weight, he still needs to lose about another stone also. You can tell his speed and movement is not quite what it was before the cocaine days.

I’m not sure lumbering is a word to describe him. He’s far from slow as well. His movement and footwork is head and shoulders above any other big heaveyweight. If he beats Wilder after two tune up fights it will be up there with some of the best sporting comebacks of all time. He’s got every chance let me tell you. I went to Düsseldorf when he beat Klitschko, if he performs at 75% of that level he will win every round against Wilder and not take a punch.

In other boxing news, my lad, who is 15 on Sunday, is training towards his first fight in September. Four or five times a week he’s at the gym. 6’2 and 17 1/2 stone at 14. Good luck matching him against someone of his own age!

Yes mate, still mad on the guitar. He’s getting some recording equipment for his birthday. Must be great to be young and have the time to do everything you want to do!

“Lumbering “ is the word , he beat a very ordinary opponent on Saturday, after 4 rounds he looked decidedly slow,he tried clowning around to get the crowd back on his side. After 6 rounds he was getting booed at the end of each round and people started to get up mid-round to fetch drinks and go to the toilet.

He was being told buy Ben Davison, his trainer, to just box through the 10 rounds and not just blast him out. There is a bigger picture than getting a show reel KO against someone like Pianetta. If you don’t think Fury is a good technical boxer, you don’t know boxing. It’s not even debatable.

You don’t need to start being clever. There is actually a video showing exactly what was being said in the corner.
