Ben Khemis

Deserves his chance today with Rowe and Crawford out I think. Adds a bit of balance too being left footed.

Thoughts?

Think Matty Blair will deputise with IBK promoted to the bench

He’s not a fullback either but it’s what I think he will do

After Newcastle 3rd goal he wouldn't be on the bench for me either, total lack of desire tracking the goalscorer back which i guess wouldn't have gone down well with McCann

Today’s midfield shows yet again lack of quality and Ben Khemis will not improve that. Blair is in there because we don’t have better scored a good goal but that’s it.

Worst first half I’ve seen in 15 years!!! Completely over run in midfield and McCann stands there clapping?????? 9-0 corners.... lucky to be 1-1 change formation or it’s game over....

I missed 9 games home and away last 4 year. What do you want me to say??? It’s terrible, completely the opposite to Peterborough, shows we’ve no strength in depth

Luton did take the game to us in the first half, yes, but we weren’t particularly bad..

Second half we were better especially in defence..

No depth??  Correct me if I am wrong but that squad just won, didn’t they??

Just shows you what a bunch of negative buggers some of our supporters are. Luton have momentum from promotion. They are a hard team to play against. Nasty, physical team. Leading with elbows. Rovers mixed it up a bit too.

Give credit where it's due.

Load of rubbish. We played okay, Luton were just very good in that first half and we couldn't get it clear for long enough periods.

Our two goals came from the midfield unit today too. Good to see, a nice performance considering the result against quality opposition.

I went to a game where we were up against a good side who pressed and looked dangerous especially in the first half.. I saw a doncaster side defend resolutely and exhibit some quality play  but ideally not enough in terms of performance..

Remind me however, what the score was and how many points we got??

Ok fair enough and I’m chuffed we won mate, but to be honest it’s papering over the cracks big time, we were crap and could easily have got battered, there’s simply no strength in depth, we all knew this months ago,  if we get by injury free I’ll go top 8..... injuries and suspensions it’ll be a relegation battle, thats how weak ur squad is.

How is it papering over the cracks?? It’s not like we’ve lost lots of games playing poorly and just got a lucky win to keep us a float (Dikov did that for years). Obviously your either a WUM or just really unrealistic and it’s a waste of time me replying.

So many people said they’d rather us play bad and win after last week so what is there to moan this week? It’s so obvious it won’t matter what we do something will be wrong

Playing crap and winning is what the best teams do. It wasn’t the best 1st half we have ever played but wasn’t the worse either we have played better and lost this for me shows that we can win ugly and why we can if we get some luck with injuries and can recruit well in January should mean we can get in that top 6 easy

I reckon that was a good game today. Missed the Portsmouth game due to being on holiday.
Two teams who wanted to play football correctly. Ok, for much of the game we were a long way second best, and if Luton had had a decent striker we'd probably have got well beaten. How we went in level at half time was beyond me. But we had a bit of luck with the second goal and the second half was closer. Had I been a Luton fan I'd have been well pissed off. But we won so all's well.

Who,was the Luton number 17?. Best player I've seen at this level for years and years.

Better than Keegan? Surely not.!

He may have been the best player today, but not necessarily in the division..

Good to see you getting to the game mfd.!

Agreed, he was the stand-out player for me today. The epitome of a box-to-box midfield performance; good defensively and very dangerous in attack.
