Big Screen - praise Alliance Draw and Half Time Draw

Big up to The Club on both these fronts
We had a spell where the Red and White HT Draw was always mentioned on here and I started noting the Numbers / Photographing the Board - just in case - and suggesting that the Numbers could be shown in the Second Half on the board during breaks in Play. It seems to have conquered the problem !

Anyway was great to see them appear maybe 3 times during second half so people buying Tickets should be encouraged that they will know the outcome before they leave the Stadium. There could be one further improvement but anyone who has read my Posts in the past will know what that is !

Alliance £10,000 Jackpot Draw was another great piece of PR I thought. As a former Winner 2 years ago and a beaten Finalist last year I also remember the first few Years when 10 "random" people (Alliance Members of course) just appeared on the Pitch annually and the rest of us used to say "how did them b******s get there" ?

I expected more could be made of it - thus getting people more involved (or feeling more involved) and excellent publicity for the Alliance Club and its aims which are of course admirable. Anyway 2 years ago I got THE call. Be on the Pitch v Hartlepool and get a chance to win 10k

I had then become one of those b******s but this Season in a radical change the 10 Entrants were shown on the Big Screen one by one and for me that was miles better than the "old" way. It had drama, suspense and though ultimately disappointed I felt really included and remained hopeful until the 10th and last name was announced and I was "out"  .

Perhaps it could be improved further in the Seasons to come by revealing (maybe) 2 people every Home game for 5 Games before the Draw or drawing those 2 Members out in the Weekly Lottery BUT a big up to the Club for changing how they announced the participants  - and hope it met with approval of other Alliance Members and made them feel a bigger part of what is a Mega Draw !!!

Hope it also pricks the interest of those thinking they might join and can afford the £29 a Quarter (a lot less than a Pint of Beer a Week) . It surely has to be worth it with the many benefits - and if you dont win a single thing in the Weekly Lottery or the 10K Draw there are discounts to be had on Season Tickets,  Free Tickets (2 pairs this Season) exclusive events for Members AND you are funding potential young Rovers Players which is the main thing surely ?
