We made them look good for 85 minutes

What, Wimbledon didn’t look good at any time to me.
However they were well organised and hard to break down.
I was pleased when their 11 (Pinnock?) went off.
We were by far the better side even though we were clearly not at our best, but were were good enough to find a way to win which was especially good after falling behind.

The team was obviously low in confidence but we did look better as the game went on.
Kane had another great game and I was pleased to see him be able complete the match after some of the treatment dished out to him early on.

Hopefully this win will be the catalyst for us to move forward.
We have a chance to fashion a good win and performance on Tuesday which renews belief for the upcoming games.

Don't bother posting much these days tbh, but that was awful today. Worst performance I've see this season. But we won, so I guess that's the most important thing.
We were poor all over the pitch. Wimbledon were awful and we matched them in that department.
Two really good goals mind, but anyone who thought we deserved to win must have been watching a different game to me. A draw would have been fair, but when did fairness count?

ps. That was the worst I've ever seen Marquis play. No confidence whatsoever
Well we were a long way from our best but I have seen us play a lot worse than that. We were far better than Wimbledon and how you can say we didn’t deserve to win baffles me.
We did win and that was what was needed, the performance today was of secondary importance.
Confidence is built on results.

Anyone who thinks that was the worst performance this season obviously wasn't at Charlton.

Nope. Don't bother with away games now. I find it hard enough driving from Scarborough for every home game. If we were worse than that at Charlton, I'm glad I didnt go.
But, a win is a win and that's all that matters. If we continue to play like we did today, it's gonna be a long cold winter

Don't get me wrong I'm glad we got the points and a win today, and first and foremost for me is the result. But what has got my back up is when people are saying the football we are playing is more exciting and they would rather that than the result  well today's football wasn't exciting but the result was a bonus. People say us whingers only come on when we lose well I'm here now and the football was shit but the result was good. But had we played a top team today we would have got hammered!

You come on here and start a thread entitled ‘Total Rubbish’....?

Shame on you

Sometimes when you’re in a bad run you just need to dig out a win from anywhere and that’s what we did today even though it wasn’t pretty.

Hopefully we can build some momentum again now.

I’d rather be 8th than 18th in the league that’s for sure.

Confidence has taken a hit lately and it wasn’t helped by going a goal down but we kept working and came back to win.

This might stop the rot and put us back on course.

It's great to have Tommy back and for him to make such an immediate impact. Great lad and he's been missed.

Difficult game for a coach, no plaudits because you are supposed to win it.

I suppose in support of what you say I was thinking "now here comes the move and goal to give us an unjustified win" just as the Ball went to Tommy Rowe and he duly scored

Overall it was poor BUT we got the three Points whereas in some recent games we have deserved to win and have drawn and dererved to draw and have lost

In live Sport what goes around comes around so they say and as it is 11 v 11 (or 11 v 14 when the Officials get involved) I will not complain if we get lucky some of the time having been "robbed" very recently

COYR  :scarf: Have a confidence boosting demolition on Tuesday and then "get lucky" or better still win deservingly v Shhh you know who next Saturday

Unjustified win? We were the only team in that second half and definitely deserved the win. We weren't at our best but we were better than Wimbledon and that's all we needed to be on the day.

We were’nt great in the first half. We seemed to really lack in confidence. However, we improved massively in the 2nd half and were the only team in it. During the 2nd half we began to play with the same urgency and speed that we were earlier in the season.

Total rubbish, eh? Who gives a stuff? Not me! We can play like this every game for all I care. I pay to watch my team in the hope/expectation to see them win, not to be entertained. Always have done, always will do.

You Reds!

Eh!!

Karlos you obviously didn’t go to the same game as me. I thought we did ok for a team on a really sxxt run of form who’s confidence must be really low. I hope we play a first 11 against Chorley and hopefully batter em

I'm not saying that Saturdays game was thrilling or that we played well but lets keep things in perspective. The Dons didn't come for anything other than a point, they sat back, packed there defence and relied on the ball over the top, there simply wasn't any space to play in.Couple that with the fact they they were huge and we were tiny in comparison meant we found it hard both in the air and also trying to find space..
However we kept going, came back from a goal down and found a way to win the game and that's what matters...Of course there are always things that you think they can do a lot better on.Once again our crossing from dead ball situations was pretty abysmal, constantly failing to beat the first man, something we've been guilty of all season..We also tend to over pass for the sake of it.We had a freekick 3 yards in our own half, passed it backwards, made 12 or 13 passes never made it out of our own half and ended up giving a throw in away on the edge of our box...
We defended set pieces better though,GM had every man back for corners etc and against a team who must have fancied there chances with high balls we defended well when we had too...
So all in all I was pretty pleased with Saturday..it would have been easy to panic after we went a goal down while in a very poor run,but we didn't and won the game.
