Suspensions
« on December 17, 2018, 09:35:22 pm by Branton Rover »
Am I worrying unnecessarily but both Heebie & JM got booked Saturday & must be tantalisingly close to a ban. Can anyone provide a player run down & how many cards they have got - thanks in anticipation

Could do with this so it’s at the top all the time with our cards this season

It was in a Thread earlier (after Game ended Saturday - so that will narrow it down)

There should be a Stick with an Injury / Suspension status and current  Yellow Cards - sure it would be useful

I think Whiteman is on 9 and Herbie on 8. Herbie's 8 will not matter if he isn't back with us in the New Year!

Who have we got to replace Whiteman? Herbie is the obvious choice, but again, if he's going back to Liverpool, we have a real problem. The manager has already said he is not a fan of square pegs in round holes.

Well, when Whiteman was last suspended, in September, Jermaine Anderson replaced him.

We won.

Not bad then, considering we allegedly have no back up players.

Personally I think Jermaine Anderson is a decent player.
It is very difficult for a player who is not playing from the start on a regular basis to have an impact when he comes on as a sub for 20 mins or less in 1 in 3 games.
Same situation with Beestin, he was looking very promising in many games last season. Now he is hardly getting a kick he has suddenly become rubbish. That in itself to me is RUBBISH. He has not suddenly  lost all his ability has he.
Look at Tom Anderson as an example, now he is playing game after game his performances have improved. Many on here said he was not good enough 4 weeks ago.

We need a bit of realism here.

We're not a club who can have stellar players kicking their heels with splinters in their arses, acting as backup. We have to be happy with reasonable quality back ups.

We have more than passable back-ups in every position other than Marquis. We're fortunate that he appears to be made of granite and has missed only two matches through suspension in 2.5 years. And, by all accounts, we're trying to get cover in on loan in Jan anyway.

Exactly BST, I said the same thing on another thread. (The bit about us not having 22 first team players in our squad).
