Up to my retirement 18 months ago we used to supply plumbing and heating materials for his rental houses in Donny but since them haven’t had any contact until I had a fairly long chat with him at the PNE cup game.
He said he is in good health but doesn’t get to many of our games these days.

As said above he's still quite active on Facebook, as is his daughter Claire.

Often see him either posting about his train set or somewhere hot abroad normally with a glass of Champers and his wife.

He appears to be doing well. Great man.

A true fan who did so much for the club to drag us out of the doldrums. I have immense respect for him and always will have.

I was concerned about his health but he looked a lot better when he turned up at PNE.

I thought he looked ill at Preston so he must have looked very ill before.

Doesn’t look any different to 5 years ago in that picture. Incidentally I think that’s the closest I’ve ever seen Heffs to cracking a smile!

What an absolute legend for what he did with this club. No one will get near what he achieved IMO. Good to see he's going well.

Great photo & he looks really well. We should never forget what he achieved for our club, ever. Without him we were finished, & I for one will be eternally grateful.

Can’t knock what he did but there might be something wrong with his hearing.
My young asked him very politely at the Legends game if he could have his autograph only to be totally ignored - (even Heffs seemingly reluctantly signed) After everything I’d told him about JR cue one disappointed young fan
