Ticket Refunds
« on August 19, 2019, 06:58:18 pm by Mustapha-Dump »
I understand we’re eligable for them, one eventuality I’m wondering about though. I have tickets and have arranged to finish work at 4pm tomorrow to travel to the game. I cannot physically get to the ticket office inside their opening hours before the game will be cancelled, will I still be able to get a refund on the tickets for the game come Wednesday if
a) the game does go ahead, but I don’t go
b) the game doesn’t go ahead

I would think so.
Others will be in a similar situation.

Well I for one don’t know if I will be able to go to any rearranged fixture.
I do do other things as well as watching the Rovers.

I for one won’t be going to the game if it’s rearranged out of principle

By the Bolton owing you ticket holders money, do you now not become creditors along with the rest???   ... I hope not by the way

We have bought tickets for an event which will not now take place. Therefore we don't have valid tickets to anything because there is nothing taking place to use the tickets for. So it stands to reason we must get a refund as we have bought tickets for a non event. Whether due to work responsibilities/other reasons someone cannot attend the re-arranged fixture (if it takes place) is a totally different question, so its inconceivable we can't get a refund for this particular event. Luckily we were driving so not lost any train fare.

The club have confirmed (about an hour ago) on twitter that refunds will be available from the Box Office from tomorrow morning.

One question though

I have Tickets for the Game. It will eventually take place unless BWFC cease to fulfil their fixtures in Div 1

So is it allowed to hold on to the Tickets until the Game takes place ? I would be happy to wait it out and would want to have the same Seats anyway ?

If at the end of the day Bolton do disappear (or we are awarded the points) refunds could then come into play?

Another scenario you haven't mentioned is that the FL just give it as a 0-3, against Bolton.

Good point - we may be awarded a win (unlikely I know) and the Game may never be played

Hopefully Box Office will advise

If this wasn't Bolton and Rovers I would fully expect three points awarded and 0-3 registered, so why do is feel like this won't happen??

What if you don’t claim your refund, then DRFC pass on any monies that are not refunded to Bolton but then they go out of business.
Your money would go with them.

You’d be a football creditor surely and under the rules football creditors are paid in full, the rest feed off the scraps

Would he be a football creditor though?
Maybe, or he could just be another person that they owe money to.
I wonder if their season ticket holders would get their money back.
Where is the line drawn on who is a football creditor.
Does it include the people who print the match programmes for example because they are football related.

Not picking a fight here Filo, just wondering.

Dont think they have any Season Ticket holders yet
Their ST fans have been justifiably whinging that they have to be on the phone for hours trying to get a Ticket (once Bolton decide to release them of course) - and then trying to get their favourite seats !
So instead of a discounted price by buying in bulk - they have to pay more for their Tickets AND have to spen on Phone calls and the time to make them

Ok, fair enough on that point.
But who are classed as football creditors.

Your transaction was with DRFC ticket office, DRFC would refund you and then DRFC would claim the money from Bolton, DRFC would be the football creditors

Yes I am aware of that Filo but I was asking the question based on an earlier post by Wolfie.
He said he might not ask for a refund.
I assume that DRFC would send the ticket money to Bolton in the next week or two for the non refunded tickets so supposing that they go bust before the game is rearranged, would the money be repaid to the people who held the tickets or would it go with them into the pot to be shared out by the administrator.
Usually resulting in a few pence in the pound being allocated to debtors.
Someone suggested that ticket holders would be classed as football creditors and therefore get a full refund.
I asked if they would and what is actually classed as a football creditor.

I got my refund today.

Well I did get my refund, luckily my gaffer let me nip away for a bit, the lady in the ticket office did say that Rovers haven’t sent them any money and won’t be doing until they’re satisfied nobody else is coming back for a refund.

Cheers for that.
So some of the money (for tickets not refunded) will be going to Bolton for either the club or the administrator to handle.
