Fred Carnos circus

What a mess
Down to 23 clubs so the fixtures are a mess

Bolton get beat 5. 0 and the rest of us are now at a disadvantage because they are allowed to continue and rebuild

Too many grey areas, the press are allowed to convince everyone that this is the best way forward
For me it’s black and white,if your not ready at the beginning of the season or better still when the fixtures come out you miss that season till you get it together
Too many nice people
Doncaster play by the rules and are at a disadvantage straight away
Come on ,something wrong there
This club has had hard times and our owners run the club to the towns advantage...we are so lucky??   Or are we

And clubs will continue to over pay players.

THIS is the real cancer at the heart of the game.

Bury are the tip of the iceberg.

Whilst I am not blaming any player as it’s a cultural problem, I wonder how much the likes of Beckford was on at Bury?

The one player that leaves me scratching my head is oztumer he signed for Bolton when he would have had a list of clubs after him at a time when everybody knew Bolton were in trouble. Even I wouldn't have signed for them 12 months ago!

Bolton must have offered a package too good to turn down because I can't find any other reason for him going there. Mind you I suppose if you're only paying 6 months wages over a year then you can on paper offer more money than anyone else.

There was a very facetious comment from a Bolton fan visiting Wycombe for their away game ...’this is not football as we know it but they seem to be happy with their lot down here .’

Incorrect. He played 16 games for them scoring 8 goals before missing pretty much all of last season and half the one before injured. He actually got injured against us if I'm remembering right, our last trip to Gigg Lane which ended in a 1-0 Rovers victory and led to Lee Clark being sacked.

EDIT: Indeed he did, injured against us in that game and only played 13 more minutes of professional football ever again before retiring earlier this week as you stated. Strange to think we pretty much witnessed the end of his career, he's been a regular presence against us going back years of course.

He never seemed to do well against us and we'll probably never know what his Wembley t shirt said.
He was never as good as he thought he was.

Never made much of an impression though.

Sorry RedJ it went over my head. 😳
I did enjoy seeing the prat that was Beckford struggle against us on a regular basis though. He was lazy and disappeared when things weren't going well. A very divisive player in my eyes.

I’ve read somewhere, might have been on this forum that Bury were giving out 3 year contracts at £6k a week.
3 years = 156 weeks
156 x £6,000 = £936,000
I wonder if there was a win bonus involved as well

Thanks Martin. I remember the interview when he said what does it say on the hat Bruv? He always came across as a numpty to me.

Yes I must have the hat mixed up. It might be that someone made a joke about a baseball cap that he had on. I think that I saw a picture doctored to say mug on it or someone put under what does it say on my hat Bruv?
Mug.
A few years ago now.
