I can not believe the two massive talking points of the game have been overlooked in the post match interview with DM and on this forum.
1, There as been so much talk about patiently building from the back DM favors this style of play and has been so evident in all our games this season, but on saturday we used the long ball all day long and it worked to perfection for our first goal it also caused problems on quite a few other occasions,I can only think this was a tactical decision fome DM and if this was just a one off for this game, maybe we could mixit up a bit we shall see.

2, No mention of Lincoln's 2 stonewall penalties SHUSH better not bring that up.

I saw no penalties... nothing to see here...  :)

If they’ve prepared all week for us to pass out and not the long ball they couldn’t stop it. Now teams can’t focus on us doing just one thing. Great tactics.

There was plenty of discussion about the penalty shouts on here at the weekend I believe, personally I agree with the referee on them.

Two stonewall pens?

If the two first half shouts are included in that then they were definitely not pens.
One was a blatant dive by the number 17 and should have resulted in a yellow card.
The other was when their number ten (I think it was ten) ran into Halliday and fell over.
The ref gave a free kick on the edge of the box but they wanted a pen.
I don’t even think it was a foul, their player just ran into ours.

Anything up the other end I can’t comment on as it was too far away for a clear view.

The one near the away end in the second half was a pen for me. Foul outside box, played advantage, John has another pull at him then ref brings it back for the original foul. We got away with one there at least.

But f**k it. About time we got away with a few

I believe the referee saw this as a very contentious physical encounter, (being a kind of localish derby game, with history)...

and allowed it to play itself out,

otherwise that hairy d**khead of a defender who wrestled Ennis at every opportunity would have been booked more than twice...

I don’t think there were any injuries, so good ref !

chrisd 123, the linesman flagged for the first foul and the referee blew for the foul outside the box on the linesmans  flag before the second foul was committed.

Here’s another talking point - how the hell did their 26 stay on the pitch? Yes, I know he got subbed off, but the very late tackle on John was a straight red for me, but then having got away with just a yellow, the onslaught continued.

He made a bad tackle in the second half on one of the defenders again and he knew he'd probably be in trouble so ran off as fast as he could before the ref realised it was him.

Yes, I spotted that too RedJ.
I was surprised that he managed to avoid a card during the game.
The one  on CJ on the touchline was so late that my two mates missed it as they followed the flight of the ball up the line.

I missed it as well for the same reason. He was booked for it but was lucky to stay on the pitch in the second half. I wasn't surprised when he was hooked.
