Is it just me that thinks it's rubbish you have no idea about anything until the teams are announced in terms of injuries?

I find it annoying but I can understand why the manager would want to keep things close to his chest.

Been saying this since August. It is absolutely pointless expecting anything insightful from any interview that Moore gives. He offers absolutely nothing. Not saying good or bad but he gives nothing away and talks only in generalities and the abstract.

Don't be bloody rediculous. Of course the manager is not going to announce injuries and give opposition an advantage. Not even worth debating.

 :that:
2 things - no Manager wants to give anything away pre Game and they all play mind games to keep the opposition guessing pretending fit players are injured and a doubt and injured palyers have a great chance of starting. So I have no problem with us doing what we did today
The second point is we have said this many many times is we should have a long term injury list - I have often shown American Football examples which list everythng about every injured player.
There would be no advantage to Sunderland and Peterborough to know Matty Blair is out injured until (lets say February)  but we as fans would know what was "going off"  - AND when it got to the time for MB to make a comeback we could go "secretive" again

No disrespect to those people, but they were talking rubbish. Just jumping to the worst case scenario.

He very simply has a slight knee injury and Moore was hardly going to publicise our captain and best player being injured so Accrington could plan for a weaker midfield. Would be daft to do so.

All they had to do is look at the team sheet a hour before kick off

Correct, but its not knee but muscle related, he'll be back next week.

When they've already planned their entire game plan? Bit different having an hour compared to having two days on the training ground.

NewDonny - Thanks, was just going off Liam Hoden's info. Glad he'll be back soon as we cannot cope without Whiteman's qualities.

The only thing I’d like to know is if there is a release clause in his contract? Just think the contract length and how surprising it was to hear of the extension, there must be something in it somewhere other than more money?

But then again if there is I’d rather the figure not be branded about and alert other teams... rather see him here for a few more years tbf!

Were they both together - and if not together were they Rovers Fans - and were they in the East Stand ?

Just people putting 2+ 2 together and making five heard same in south stand.
Do think we need to make some good new signings early in the Jan transfer window because if we don’t and some good offers come in he may decide we have no desire to improve and then may be tempted, I would in those circumstances. But seems strange to improve his contract without planning to bring new people in to work with him and make the most of his skills as I am sure he won’t be here next year if we aren’t at least in the playoffs.

Heard from an inside source that it's the most intelligent contract Rovers have ever put together, it will take BIG money for him to talk to anyone.
