Has died suddenly. As well as being one of the Bonzos, he was the man behind the music of THE best Beatles parody band The Rutles. An immense musical talent has left the building.

BBC never fail, he wrote much of the music/songs for Monty Python, member of The Rutles no mention of The Bonzos!!!!!!

Saw The Rutles at the City Varieties in Leeds about 4 yrs back. Great show, very much underrated. Time to put on my I saw The Rutles t shirt and take out my original 1978 vinyl and play again.

 Played in a Dad's v Boys cricket match with Neil Innes and he took a stunning catch in the covers off my bowling.............to get my son out !!

 That's about my only claim to fame !

It may well be but my comment related to the news bulletin when they omitted 
Any reference to the Bonzos nor to Do not adjust your set you need to be of a certain age to remember that one
