He could have a couple of good seasons playing regularly and adding to his impressive goals scored total.
You are a long time retired from football.

Henwouldn't have to move house either.😀
I think that Barnsley might go for him though and he'd probably rather play at the higher level.

Sharp has got 18 months on his contract. Sadly it will never happen

Aiden McGeady , Billy Sharp and Leon Clarke are players who my club should be all over to try and keep us in the championship .

It goes without saying Rovers too should be showing an interest .

If Rovers could recruit those three the second half of the season would be interesting , to say the least

Big Daz has the clout to attract them .

Rovers could win the PL and Champions League 5 times in a row whilst we were stuck in league two and it wouldn't make any difference .

53 years going to Oakwell , bottom of the fourth division , played in the PL , knocked out of the FA cup by Marine in 75 and Altrincham in 2015 in the first round , beaten Spurs , Man Utd , Liverpool and Chelsea in the same competition and seen us in an FA cup semi final .

Memories I've no right to enjoy given the size of my club and wouldn't trade it for anything .

I've seen it all .

The rivalry between our two clubs should be more intense , even a little nasty because that would mean Rovers are also punching the weight .

I'd actually like that , it's the same with the Millers , no axe to grind there either .

I'd love a serious rival in South Yorkshire I really would .

We'd all be doing something wouldn't we ? .

A proper derby , two full houses and no love lost , jeez it couldn't happen soon enough .

You are a long time retired from football.

A year or so back a pal of mine asked BS if he’d ever like to come back and play for Rovers. He said that the Blades will always be his team but he loves Donny and he’d definitely consider coming back if the time was right...mind you, Tony Woodcock said something similar to our kid back in ‘77 and he didn’t come back the lying bas**rd!! As if he was doing anything better!  😀🤣😅

For a couple of seasons now I've been thinking it might be the right time for BS to give something back but the fat lad keeps scoring the bloody goals and still looks really fit!

In the right circumstances, I'm sure he'd love to team up again with his old mucker Copps. I think next season in the Championship might be the last chance for that to realistically happen. In the meantime, there'll be a queue for his services from a number of Championship clubs no doubt.

Would be good Tyke and maybe Daz does have the clout but there’s a stumbling block unless it’s a loan then it’s a pipe dream that our owners who ratify signings like that.

You imagine there would be some realism regarding the terms Billy would expect by joining Rovers .

It's a two way street too , Rovers would be extending his career and giving him an opportunity to get on the pitch rather than sat on Sheffield United's bench .

There's a couple of good seasons left in Billy Sharp in my opinion .

I'd take him all day long at my club .

I feel sure that there are dissenters on the Barnsley forums, they will be no different to any other set of fans.

After 19 games in League One this season we have 28 points.

After 19 games last season?

29 points.

This season after 19 games  W7  D7  L5  GF30  GA21  GD9 PTS28
Last season after 19 games  W8  D5  L6  GF28  GA26  GD2 PTS29

So despite the striker problem, we've scored more. And conceded less.

Absolutely , poisonous atmosphere at Oakwell when Stendel was sacked with the support split and the forums were hostile .

Apologists for the club who view it as a sacred cow v the anti club brigade v those with centre ground views .

Calmed down a little due to a few decent results but it's bubbling under the surface .

I think the main difference between last year and this is we scored in most games last season whereas this season we’ve probably scored half the goals in 4 or 5 games.
It’s like when we get one we continue to score but in tight games we struggle

The seven goals at Southend United count heavily but by game 19 of last season in League One, we had failed to score in 7 of those games. This season it is just 4 games.
