HD Freeview ?
« on February 06, 2020, 05:49:48 pm by Donnywolf »
Has anyone else got problems with Freeview HD signal
Mine disappeared yesterday sometime and looking on t'Internet there appears to be an "orange" warning / problem zone hovering over S Yorks and specifically over us
Is it just my Box having a wobble or are others affected pls
There was supposed to be a retune your Box yesterday and I tried that but still no Pictures - if they are HD

I retuned both mine and the mother-in-law's TVs and they have been fine but we are on a different transmitter to you I think.

I read something somewhere about this a few days ago, you’ll have to retune

If you ring 08081000288 (the number that comes up on the screen) they could not do enough to help me. They talked me thro the retuning and the first couple of times , no joy , but we got there at the third time of asking.

Thanks for the info.

I still dont seem to have HD Channels but did till recently. I think I read somewhere that BBC News 107 has gone to 231

Will check it out tomorrow - could do with BBC News back because I am ignoring it after their crap Election coverage

Yes you do have to retune. Once you have retuned a lot of the channels have changed. Foe example Quest which was ch 37 is now ch 12. Can't miss that on a sat. night as I don't have sky !

That probably makes sense and "solves" my problem.

I use(d) 107 BBC News for weather etc but it has not returned even after 3 retunes but as I said above it appears now to be on 231 though not HD

Will have another retune in a few minutes and then "live" with what I have got

Cheers all

I retuned my dads yesterday. He was getting quite upset that he couldn’t get Challenge anymore. He even records episodes of Wheel of Fortune.
All good now though so he’s happily sat on his sofa with a large rum, a box of  toffee and Carol Smillie in his eyes😁

Challenge was the first Chanel my mother-in-law missed before I retuned theirs.
We had been getting a notice on the telly about retuning for a week or more previously though.

As I posted earlier, the fella I spoke to in the help call centre, based just north of Edinburgh along with another 149 colleagues was really helpful. Apparently all this is happening Region by Region to free up space for this new  5G that is coming in the near future.(please don't ask me what that is The next Region to go thro this exercise is Merseyside .  Mr Klopp wont be a happy Bunny !
