Rovers signature spotting.
« on April 17, 2020, 08:40:12 am by keyser_soze »
Received a signed shirt as a wedding present way back when and recently unearthed it and stuck it on the wall in my study with the increased working from home. Been staring at while pretending to work and Never been able to recognise half the signatures though! The shirt is from 2005-2006. Anyone help me out?

Ricky Ravenhill?
Dave Mulligan?    ??    Paul Heffernan?    Sean McDaid    Jason Price
Simon Marples?    Tonny Neilson    ???
???    Leo Fortune West    ???    Neil Roberts
Richard Offiong    ???    Jan Budtz?

I’ve got a couple of bits of memorabilia from around this time and have been able to have a look and match up some of the autographs for you. Hopefully this is helpful.

Ravenhill is correct.
Mulligan is correct.
The one you’re struggling with to the right of Mulligan I believe is Graeme Lee.
Heffs, McDaid and Jason Price look correct.
Marples and Nielsen look right.
The one to the right of Nielsen looks like Andy Warrington.
Row below that is Steve Roberts, then Leo as you correctly say.
Next to that is the one I’m really struggling with - it looks like it could be either Craig Nelthorpe or Antony Griffiths but I’m far from certain on those.
Next one along definitely looks like Neil Roberts as you say.
At the bottom I think the one you’re missing (in the middle) might be Alan Blayney.

Actually, scratch what I said about Nelthorpe/Griffith - I think that mystery one might actually be James Coppinger. On everything I’ve got that he’s signed he usually puts the number 26 somewhere though so I’m not 100%

Brilliant photo and thread.

There's some proper psychologist fodder in them autographs. Neil Roberts's moniker looks like it's My First Signature wi a gret big felt tip grabbed in his fist.

And Alan Blayney looks like he had a poorly on his elbow...

Great thanks! Thought this had got lost in the ether so grateful for the response.

I'd figured out Andy Warrington since you posted and think you're right about the others. 4 keepers on there! We certainly had a glut of them at that time. Surely there must be plenty of people with Copps signature from the last 20 years to confirm or deny that one!
