Why don't you just get a firestick pay £40 for the year and get IPTV service all follow games are on there DM if you want more advice

Presumably because, and I'm no expert on this stuff at all, that would be illegal and actively taking money away from the club at a time when they desperately need our financial support?

It should be as simple as plugging the cables in and switching over to the correct HDMI port on your TV.

Just don't forget you must get a lightning port to HDMI converter. Then use the HDMI cable through that.

Like this........ I assume?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lightning-Adapter-MOYAGOA-Certified-Connector-White/dp/B08HRKJPHN/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=lightning+to+hdmi&qid=1600339782&sr=8-6

Don't suppose you know what I'd need to get from a kindle fire to tv? I bought some cable a while ago but it didn't have the desired effect.

As I don't have anything Apple, please can someone who does tell me if you can have the Google Chrome browser on their.? If the answer is yes then I have the solution > if the answer is no, then hard luck you should have gone with Android.

The fact that you don't have anything Apple explains why I was failing to have any success when following your advice last weekend Deebee! At least I don't feel such a fool now.

Yes, I'm fairly certain I've got google Chrome on my i-pad at home.

So do you have a solution for casting?

You could watch it and then donate £10 to the club.

But if you're gonna do that... why would you not just give the club your money to begin with?

Going to an illegal outlet that takes money away from the club is not the solution though. Yes, people are having difficulties but there will be a way to get it working properly and legally. I can't believe a Rovers supporter would entertain going down that route to watch the team play, especially during times as tough as these for the club.

Well yes, I do. If you have Google Chrome as I was asking. You open Google Chrome go to the top left where there are 3 verticle dots, click these and a box drops down halfway down the list is the word cast.
Click this and it will ask "cast to" and the name of your cast device, click this to connect your device to your tv. Now open iFollow and start streaming. Thank You.

I guess you didn’t read my earlier post Deebee. There is no ‘cast’ option on the drop-down menu in Google Chrome on the i-pad, that’s the whole problem.
I thought you meant you had another solution.

Anyway don’t worry, I’ve got the trusty old HDMI cable plugged into the laptop again.

Cheers anyway, thank you for trying.

Because it's illegal.

That's the problem with Apple kit. Suggest you get hold of a very old or cheap android phone (don't need a contract) just to use as a casting device at home.

When you cast from your laptop, through chromecast does the address bar of the chrome browser also show on your tv screen?

I bought a Chromecast yesterday for this purpose and first tried setting up to cast from my Mac with no success, apparently the apps are only for mobile devices.  So resorted to iPhone and did at least get it set up but the iFollow screen when opened in iPhone doesn't show the three dots to initiate the Cast.
