Very impressed with Town tonight. Just taken the lead at Bradford.
Playing some excellent stuff and on this performance they must have a chance of going up again this season.

They look a very good team. Well organised, skillful and hard working.
Deserved their win tonight.

What you really mean is Bradford were a bag of S*** and were beaten by a team of  once part timers !!

Yep, Harrogate used to be non league so let's never give them any credit where it's due.  :silly:

What a stupid comment. “Once part timers” Some years ago. They are a very well run club and have a very competitive squad for League 2 this season.
They were better than Bradford on the night and that’s credit to Harrogate & the way they played.
Bradford will be a top 7 team this season and possibly top 3 imo.

I was impressed with the way they played. I felt it especially showed the ability of their manager and set up.

I think we had a conversation on here when Town were in the Conference North, Campsall, where we agreed that a few of their players wouldn't look out of place in the Football League. Well 7 players that started that Bradford game, were part of that Conference North squad. I also said at the time that they reminded me of Rovers under Dave Penney, play 4-4-2, really fit hard working, honest players that would run through a brick wall for one another.

Yes they do have the look of that 2003/2004 Dave Penney team.
As you say they play a 4-4-2 and not many teams play that system anymore. Would be brilliant if they achieved what that Rovers team did that season and win the league.
Not impossible but i think a play off place is probably more realistic. But you never know do you. Not many of us would have predicted Rovers winning the league that season after the first 5 games.

What I have noticed is one or two of that Conference North team who are playing in League 2 this season look much better players at 2 leagues higher. George Thompson springs immediately to mind in the right midfield slot. He looks a very good player. Harrogate’s Sir Francis Tierney.

Funnily enough Thompson wasn't a regular starter last season, losing his place to Brendan Kiernan who is a bit more direct. I even think they were going to loan him out before lockdown but got his chance after Kiernan was suspended and hasn't looked back.
