That is good news, but reiterates the doubt that can be put forward before a game, and also verifies the fact that even in the EFL testing should take place before every game, and unnecessary chances were taken with the game v Accrington on Saturday, what use was it testing after the event or before the results were known?
This is not something that can be treated with anything else but the strictest security if the league programme is to have any chance of completion.
We are not on top of it, and a good percentage of the population are unwilling to follow set out procedures, especially people in the younger age groups.
It would have been interesting if one or two of their players had tested positive what the repercussions would have been, and if Ipswich would have cancelled the game something we will now never know. The thing to celebrate is the fact that no one tested positive and are healthy thank god.

The problem is selby the are what 40 people involved during each game players and staff( a guess on numbers) at some point someone will have corona symptoms every week, no games would get played so for me I can’t see what risks they took, Taylor went off with a upset stomach at the weekend many younger people with corona only end up with a upset stomach and nothing else

Ipswich staff and players tested negative and the game will go ahead

Kayden Jackson was positive though.

But unless he lives with team mates that isn’t an issue, especially as the others are reported to have tested negative.?

Nah I'm just saying he's definitely unavailable.

Ipswich stated that the youth team was on stand by so even if their whole squad had tested positive, Ipswich would have sent a team today.

One team in Scotland - QOTS I think - had their entire coaching staff missing on Saturday so two of the players took charge, they still played the game.

All sorted anyway. Jackson reported symptoms, stayed home, he's got Covid but the rest of the squad thankfully haven't.

Kick off is 7pm!

Knew having an account on this forum would come in useful again.   How's everyone up there doing.   Staying safe and all that.   Anyway here we are again are we're playing Rovers tonight in what should be a good game even without a crowd present.

I had a look at your games so far and you've doing good, I expect a tough test up there later on.  Yes we're unbeaten and top of the league but taking nothing for granted.   It's going to be a long hard season ahead with risk once more of games being cancelled like before but it's one step at a time really.

We have a number of players out through injury and the Jackson news was unwanted but we're battling away and giving the league a go.   Of course we really want to back at Championship level but it's going to take time.     Lambert isn't to everyone's liking but if he can take us back up he would have won a few people over.

Always good to hear (sensible) opposition fans views. We’ve been playing well but usually just for half a game. Darren has put together a great squad and there seems to be togetherness. Should be a cracking game. Someone will get a thrashing when it all clicks but not expecting that tonight. Only saving grace is you not having to do the journey

Silly buggers. If they'd done that, they'd have had to call off their match on Saturday.

That's how it works with young players, right?  :silly:

Their defender looked like he was waiting for a bus when he gave the penalty away.

He looked pedestrian all game, him and the keeper were doing their best to mess up playing out from the back - reminded me of us with Daniels last season
