Just read an article this morning concerning the amount of injuries across football .
Dropping like fly's over here , Woodrow , Britain and Jordan Williams all currently out with hamstrings .
Short close season and the brutal schedule are having an impact I feel and it's even worse for the EFL clubs who have clearly cut their squads to the bare bone because of the financial consequences of the pandemic .
What baffles me is that in the champion's league they have continued with the five sub rule surely it would have made sense to do so in the EFL too .
Didn't the EFL see this coming ?

The 5 subs rule should have continued if the manager doesn’t want to use them so be it, but it would still give options to rest a few player with say 15 mins to go

We've had quite a few injuries, doesn't help that we have a very young squad with a lot of loanees who don't have much experience in senior football. It'll be worse for us lower league clubs - we had our season cut off, didn't kick a ball for 3(?) months, and then went straight into a short pre-season and a congested calendar. If it's affecting the Championship as well, then we have no hope. Gonna be a strange season.

If I’m not mistaken, Tyke, we have 4 injured currently (not counting the after effects of Saturday). Tulloch, Richards, Gomez, John-Jules.
3 of those 4 are young loanees and are finding out, the hard way, what it’s like playing Sat/Tue every week. Although JJ got his injury whilst on duty with England!
Fingers crossed, they’re all back this week. We are getting close to scraping the barrel.
UPDATE:
Neither JJ or Tulloch are back from their respective clubs and no word on them, either, according to DFP. I’m assuming someone at our Club knows something about their progress. If not, it’s very poor from Arsenal and W Brom.

Gomes and Richards will both be unavailable tonight as DM hasn’t had the all clear from the medical and sport science team, not enough training time apparently
