Going home. Think that will also be a factor to be fair.

More Fake news.
Having gone on to Salford FC website.

Swindon Town have blocked any approach from Salford for Wellens.

Another post which suggests something factual which is just sheer speculation.

Should read: Salford interested in Wellens.

It’s not Swindon’s decision if he goes or not. BBC radio have just said he’s to be announced later in the week.

To be fair it's a step down in terms of stature and division. But, close to home, more money, probably bigger budget and he'll know the owners too.

How long until he signs his lad on loan?

That refusal of approach was on Salford’s website. So that suggested to me an agreement for him to become their manager was a long way off.

Now some reporting and even that on the Swindon Web site suggests Wellens may well be off to Salford fairly imminently.

So my apologies MoveDRFC for the Fake News comment i made.
Looks as though you may well be correct.  ;)    :) :) :)

Unfortunately contracts do not usually mean a great deal in football. If someone wants to leave then inevitably they will always get their way.

quite sad that hes gone there. they won't give him much rope before the get rid if it doesn't go well. He seemed to have the support of the board at Swindon and a chance to prove himself in league 1, which he didnt manage with oldham.

i'll still respect him for who he is and what a player he was for us. I just wish he wasn't playing for that lot. its like there another version of whitley bay/ i mean Fleetwood

Can’t compare them to Joey Barton’s lot unless they play the same cheating brand of football.
There is only 1 Fleetwood and 1 Joey Barton. HOPEFULLY
