Sheffield United

Jeez talk about second season syndrome. Another defeat which leaves them with just 1 point from 11 games. Pretty much same squad as last season minus Henderson. Somethings gone badly wrong, although i do rate Wilder.

They will do well getting out of this mess.

They've been found out. Last season the way they play was new, and teams couldn't handle it. This season teams have figured them out.

I put a bit of money on at 5/1 for them to be relegated at the start of the year - thought that price was excellent. Last year their players raised their levels - for a lot of them it was their first year in the top flight. Their tactics were also quite novel but was always going to be impossible for them to sustain it. It’s still possible for them to get out of trouble because Fulham & West Brom look doomed and Burnley are struggling, but they’ve got a hell of a battle on their hands.

The defender should have take vardy out 40 yards from goal as he was never going to miss and taken the red card

Sorry to change team.

What a goal by Song just now for Spurs.

Will this be Spurs year to win the League.  Think this will the closest Premier season title race yet. Spurs, Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea & Leicester all in with a shout.
Don’t see Man Utd being good enough.
If Leicester pulled it off again that would be quite remarkable. Don’t think they will but I would not right them off.

As for the OP has any team escaped relegation after only getting 1 point from 11 games. Genuine question as i don’t know the answer. I suspect it is no..
I can’t see The Blades getting out of this mess. They need 2 consecutive wins before Christmas to give themselves any chance imo.

They’ve lost 8 games by a single goal,
And last week they absolutely battered West Brom and lost 1-0,
I think they’ll get out of it

I hope they do Dickos but cannot see it. If they batter teams and lose then that is not great.
What will happen when they play badly?

Like to see all Yorkshire teams doing well except Rotherham and except any of the them that are in the same league as us of course.  ;)

They’re only 7 points off safety and have now lost 8 games by a single goal.
They’ll turn it around I think

Can see who your favourite “other” team is adam.  ;)  :)
You might be right but I am not sure they will finish above (in no particular order) Liverpool,  Spurs, Man City, & Chelsea. We will see.

When you can lose 10 out of 11 and still only be two wins from safety says there are some poor sides this year as noone is running away with it

The Sheffield Utd player running back with Jamie Vardy in the last minute was very naive. He should have taken one for the team and brought Vardy down. He would have got a red card but it would probably have got Utd a point.

so a throwaway stat actually means they are my team? Wow, stretching..  Much?

I've Actually been to the FA cup final and watched united lose, whilst I was in the other end..   But let's not let facts get in the way of a good story...

Blades look well on track to beat Derby's record low PL points total from the 2007/8 season.

Has everyone lost their sense of humour. For heaven sake lighten up every one.
I know it’s been a horrible year for most people but it’s nearly Christmas and a vaccine or vaccines have been found.

Can we all start to be a bit more civil with each other.  PLEASE.  :that:   :rtid:
