If the Season ended today ....
« on January 02, 2021, 08:09:53 am by Donnywolf »
.... would Manchester United be
Champions or Runners up because they seem to be saying they are "joint top" of the Premiership which in theory would mean they would be joint Champions.
I think they are second at the moment on GD and so would be Runners up

If they are 2nd on goal difference, how could that make them Champions

It's more down to pundits and commentators on sky saying it about a 100 times last night rather than fans. Hope they do can't stand the bin dippers.

For me there isn't a shadow of doubt. They are not top of the Table

They would not be Champions if they had just played the last game of the Season last night

Sky even now insisting they are joint top of the League and they get paid for spouting that s**t!

Have they actually used the words joint top or did they say level on points?

Sky have been saying "joint top"

Andy Cole last night went further and said Top of the Premier League - and when presenter challenged him he said well there a long way to go

The other Pundit said - well Man U are joint top or as I would actually say second - sorry Andy

from the United section on the Manchester Evening News website

Manchester United moved level on points with leaders Liverpool in the Premier League on New Year's Day after they held on to defeat Aston Villa 2-1 at Old Trafford.

I really do not care about the Premiership one jot ..I think the playing of artificial fan noise throughout the televised games sums the whole thing up .
