To be honest I’m struggling to see how DM’s supposed religious beliefs are in any way relevant to a discussion around his decision to take the job at Sheffield Wednesday.

I'm not particularly upset over Moore's departure in terms of a restriction in Rovers progress , especially after tonight's performance, but I am upset by the fact that I thought I was a good judge of character in my old but experienced age, thinking I knew a genuine, honest, reliable Christian with no avarice when I saw one.

Of course, that might not be the case, but football being as protective in the truth as it is, I doubt we'll ever know.

BB, it's an easy mistake to make to associate someone's declaration of having Christian faith to mean they can be trusted to be genuine, honest and reliable.  You are just as likely to find they have all of the same selfish and dishonourable ways of society in general, just as there are plenty of people who can be trusted to be genuine, honest and reliable who reject Christianity and any other form of religious faith for what it actually is.

True. You only have to look over here in the States to find any number of examples of so called Christians committing heinous acts.

Did they have a background like Darren Moore, and were they dedicated to the job in hand, and did they receive an award for 'Outstanding Contribution to Grass Roots and Community Football Projects' when they took over your football club?

Just like there are any number of atheists committing  heinous acts.

Utterly pointless post.

I think the point was that your beliefs - or lack thereof - aren't necessarily an indication of character.
