Loan players
« on April 10, 2021, 09:07:20 pm by karlos »
In my opinion the loan players have stopped playing for the club and I feel sorry for Andy butler I reckon with the play offs now gone he sends the loans back to there clubs and play some of the youngsters who will at least try! Let’s face it they can’t do any worse.

I don’t think the young ones are good enough either that’s the problem

Too much blame just lazily lumped onto “loan players” in my opinion. Have they really been any worse than our contracted players? That’s not to say we shouldn’t reconsider our reliance on them, but how much are they really to blame for how things are going at the moment?

Balcombe - barely played, been back in for the last 2 games but don’t think you could really fault him in any of those
Sims - struggling with injury, been poor recently when he has played but I don’t think it’s through a lack of effort
Smith - form has dropped off a cliff but I think it’s more to do with losing the league’s best midfielder alongside him rather than downing tools
Richards - has been crap, and possibly one that you could actually point the finger at for stopping playing. At least he scored today, though
Robertson - been in and out of the team so difficult to build up any rhythm. Never looks like he’s not trying, though
Simoes - as above but even more in and out. Has barely played in this bad run.
John-Jules - not played for 4 odd months

Looked at individually they’ve been no worse but having 7 players with no commitment to the club makes them targets and adds to the general feeling around been very temporary

The worse midfield player today was Gomes his passing is always poor.
Plus AB made the wrong starting selection. Horton is not good enough for league one. Robertson was poor from the start. Richards mad a difference when he came on. Leading goal scorer on the bench.carrying blaming the players but the manager got his starting team selection wrong yet again

Gomes is Kongolo mark 2. He had a spell earlier in the season scoring goals and playing well but other than those few games he's never shown enough. Think he's out of contract shouldn't be getting a new one along with a good number of them. I suppose that's one good thing for the new manager, he won't have many hangers on sitting on contracts

The players that Moore signed on permanent contracts have been no better

All have the same agent. Wonder if that's any factor in it. Probably been told their future is elsewhere just like Moore was when our bad form really started.

Hope they all get awful moves into league 2 or lower after all for an agent to make money off a player the player needs to turn in a performance every now and again which hasn't happened for month
