Today’s ref

I have just voted.
First time on this as never noticed it before. 

Thought he was one of the better ones we have had. We have had some serious shockers this season.

He was decent. Should have carded a couple of their lads and a couple of ours, probably, but he let it flow. Did favour them in terms of free kicks given.

I posted on there quite early [putting numb nut 1] BUT I am - I suppose -  the person who dishes out the lowest marks

On my scoring system this Ref was worth 1 at best but others may call that a 3 so its a subjective rather than objective way of doing it

Also Refs get blamed or scapegoated if we lose or draw and thats when Rate the Ref comes "alive" so I find it telling that this Ref was getting stick after a win and much improved performance

Commentators [like me] mentioned several free kicks that didnt look fouls - several advantages played after professional fouls deserving of Yellow Cards which were then ignored. Also seemingly ignored 2 possible head injuries. Commentators mentioned that Ref checked Smith out 3 times before stopping play

AND why why why did Ref get hit and in way so much ?

Numb nut 1 is appropriate on "my" scale

I thought the ref was quite poor yesterday. He gave 22 free kicks in the game so I'm not sure how he let it flow, yet at the same time let some blatant fouls go on both sides. He also ignored a head injury to Matt Smith for a few moments which is just stupid.

It is indeed, with head injuries the ref should stop it regardless though and Smith was immediately clutching his head and lying stationary on the pitch.
