Chief executive thanks Andy Butler

One positive of the way this season has worked out is the dignified way Butler has been treated throughout the process. I'm sure he will have learnt massively from it, and returns to the Belles (and the first team) wiser for the experience.

Not sure many managers could have done better with the majority of the players Butler had at his disposal.

I hope to see him involved in the coaching staff under the new manager and can eventually see him become a successful manager.

A great man. No doubt in my mind he's put absolutely everything into this. Received a lot of unwarranted abuse the last few months.

Thank you, Andy!

I agree the abuse he’s had is unwarranted

The slide started under Moore. If Butler had got us up he'd be off to Spurs this summer!

For me he was the right man at the wrong time. I still feel he will be a successful manager at Rovers in the future but was thrown under the bus a little by the players more than anything.

A good man who is Donny through and through. Deserved some stick, don't get me wrong as some decisions were questionable but definitely didn't warrant the abuse he's received (mainly by Twitter morons though, let's be honest).

Why put Andy butler into the cauldron which the management knew existed???? He was never going to do it , and tbf the board didn’t want success so that’s why he was appointed....

Classy by the club but nothing short of what Butler deserves.

He isn't the right man at the moment and if I'm being honest, nothing I've seen or heard over the last few months suggests that he ever will be.

A great servant to the club though and think everybody appreciates him stepping up when asked, he's certainly given it his all, that I have no doubts.

Hopefully we will still see him in the match day squad next season.
