Italy 29 games without defeat someone has said, you always lose the one you don't want to.

All runs come to an end.

Bang on Hound, and usually against a team you are expected to beat or on the big occasion like a cup final.

Wales were amazing. Thought they were going to regret the missed chances. I am following them all the way.

It's predicting when the end comes that's the important bit innit?

One team's run ALWAYS ends at a cup final.

Not necessarily pies.
Not if you are talking about an unbeaten run.

It's a bit like saying a run will only come to an end when they play another team aye hound? give us some of your predictions?

More whataboutery.

Surely any team in a cup final has to have had a decent unbeaten run to have got there in the first place?

Spain lost their first group match before being crowned winners.

Absolutely necessarily, Hound.  Both teams were on unbeaten runs to get to the final and one of them 'necessarily' loses.

You can lose group games though and still win the final.

then in the knockout stages, You can "lose" a shoot out which is not losing a game of football but is.

Well done to Wales, they gave Italy their toughest group game, even though it was mainly a 2nd string 11. Hope they get a result against Denmark, though I think the game could go either way.

It was also a weakened Wales line-up don't forget, Les... we left out the three players on cards – not as many as the 8 Italy swapped in I know, but it did mean completely changing formation and team set-up. That's no easy thing when you've the pool of players Wales have.

Had hoped we'd avoid Denmark as we've a poor record against them, let alone with the spirit they're coming into this game with. Ah well, you never know.

Really getting in to the Wales story. ordered a retro shirt from JD. Wasn't paying £72 for the current one though.
