possibly his contract said it lasted "until the euro final 2020"   ...
who knows .... in that case his "termination" was delayed a year ..

however from what some of you are saying there has been a "HERD termination"  of reporters     :suicide:

Well, I couldn’t see this coming. I’ve always admired Chris’s punditry; he spoke a lot of sense and never minced his words. Maybe he didn’t tick the boxes for BBC’s woke brigade?

Apparently he's been dropped to be replaced by Chris Sutton...

Oh dear.

Chris Sutton has worked for the BBC for years?

He is a great example of invented rage to generate a story - exactly the sort of pundit the culture warriors love and 'the woke brigade' whoever they may be. One person says one thing, another says another to generate an argument just for the sake of it. It's why I stopped listening to 606 years ago.

'The woke brigade', phhhhh....

Yeah, he has been with the BBC for a while now, I'm not sure how long he's been involved with commentary. Anyway, he's the guy they wanted instead of Waddle for the final.

And you are right, all he does on 606 is try and provoke a 'heated debate' about anything. Argument for arguments sake before unleashing his insincere, deeply annoying laughter.

Is Danny "He's got to do better than that" Murphy been retained?

He's done quite a bit of commentary in Scotland, he's not bad but he can be pretty biased if he's got a horse in the race.
