Well I have read the reports and the who was good enough, who disappointed , whether the tackle was good or bad. Not one mention for Ed Williams the player who could have been under the most pressure as a player for us last night, and who in my oppinion was as good over all the piece as anyone on the field of play. Worked hard off the ball and showed for the ball right from the start of the game and was involved in most of the good things we did going forward especially in the first half when we were not so good. He did his cause no harm at all last night for me, and last season in his fleeting appearences he was no worse and not as bad as some who were better thought of at the time. On last nights showing I would not be so reluctant as some to see him play a part in the future.

Either way it was plain daft. 88 minutes, edge of their box, player harmlessly squaring a ball to a wide player to clear. It wasn't high or two footed granted but it was so late it was almost out of camera shot.
But it does still have a place. Ultimately how does a young player like Greaves learn without exposure to games? We have to allow youngsters to make mistakes and see how they learn from it. If they don't learn they don't improve. Didn't wellens himself get sent off against us stupidly once?
