I didn’t think there was much to the lunge, couldn’t make out if there was full impact or more intent and limited contact….but that element of thuggery has been consigned to the past now…
I’m hoping that RW can mould and temper young AJs enthusiasm for I see a good solid player once he’s buffed up….

Loved the RW after show interview…if he can bollock em and get a second half performance then there is certainly hope….

This says it all from latest RW interview AJ needs to be more professional and he’s got learn as he’s running out of chances.

Well I have read the reports and the who was good enough, who disappointed    , whether the tackle was good or bad.
Not one mention for Ed Williams the player who could have been under the most pressure as a player for us last night, and who in my oppinion was as good over all the piece as anyone on the field of play.
Worked hard off the ball and showed for the ball right from the start of the game and was involved in most of the good things we did going forward especially in the first half when we were not so good.
He did his cause no harm at all last night for me, and last season in his fleeting appearences he was no worse and not as bad as some who were better thought of at the time.
On last nights showing I would not be so reluctant as some to see him play a part in the future.

Williams wasn’t really used properly under DM, I liked what I saw from the few cameos, and RW will know what he wants anyway…..
Might be like having a new signing if we can get him on the right page…

As for those that write the negative stuff about a player who featured so little……in a system already broken…….shame on you lol

I wasn’t there last night so have no clue but Hoden had Williams down as our weakest performer on 5/10.

Williams made a lot of runs.    Just wasn't found by his colleagues too much

Hoden looks for different things to write about….not the off the ball stuff….

It's an old saying, but was Hoden at the game, he wasn't at the same one as me. How did he rate the rest?

Either way it was plain daft. 88 minutes, edge of their box, player harmlessly squaring a ball to a wide player to clear. It wasn't high or two footed granted but it was so late it was almost out of camera shot.

It was so late the lad he took out was having a shower....

But it does still have a place.  Ultimately how does a young player like Greaves learn without exposure to games? We have to allow youngsters to make mistakes and see how they learn from it. If they don't learn they don't improve.  Didn't wellens himself get sent off against us stupidly once?

Exactly this   :that:
