Drone at st Mary’s.

First time I’ve heard of this. Players taken off pitch at the direction of ref.
More of this to come I bet.

Happened a year ago during a Brentford game according to final score.

for those of us who don't like Sky "bull$hit" commentator "Cowboy Clint" Clinton Morrison

we just loved it when Stelling called him a "drone" and he didn't have an answer  :)

when Jeff said some team had a draft excluder for a free kick the "wimp" said i would never do that "i am not getting a ball in my face"

I think it’s probably put up by someone trying to get ahead of the bookies trying to make a few quid. A live feed may beat the bookies by seconds and if you can bet on the next card/corner etc I’m sure there’s serious money to be made

Or it’s just an enthusiast, could be that!

Why use a drone? Just get a ticket for the game. If there is money to be made doing this, like they do in tennis, then the cost of a ticket would be paid for easily.

Have a clay pigeon shooter handy. They'll give up paying for a new drone every week.

Exactly more likely it’s just someone trying to get some footage of when a game is on with a crowd etc

Friend of mine works for ECB or ICC, trying to identify these folk. Interesting job.

Happened at one of our home games a few years back.

Remember it happening , hovering at Away end

I think players went off pitch but can't remember if they went off down tunnel for a while

Didn’t it happen at half time and the restart of play held up until it disappeared? Might be misremembering how it happened but I do remember it happening. Old age and alcohol may have something to do with it!
