Current loan players

If we were given the chance to sign our current loanees which ones would you keep? If all on fair market contracts say on a 2/3 year basis?

Galbraith.

The rest are beyond help with the possible exception of Dahlberg if he significantly improves in most areas of his game.

Dahlberg can't command crosses or corners and his positioning and handling are atrocious. Despite his superb shot stopping abilities, he's not good enough.

It would be interesting to know how much we have paid towards each loanee compared with previous years. Are clubs asking more for them or having to sign 5 initial permanent players which we’ve not done for years then the funds left for loanees less than previous years.

Except Galbraith and Rowe I wouldn’t offer any of them 12 months never mind 2/3 years.

Sorry, I was commenting on the whole squad, not just loans.

I know that this is a little off thread but last season I thought that John was suspect but now I can't wait to get him back, how things have changed.

Cameron John is a quality player.

But not at full back, I would play him as a defensive midfielder, to win the ball back and pass it on

Yes can agree with that, thought he was awful at “left back”.

Smith and Cukur send back. Keep Vilca Dahlberg and Galbraith.

His initial spell for us at centre back I thought he was outstanding. Very composed on the ball, always seemed to have time. Way beyond his years he was to me.
Very dominant in the air also. He looked to me like a premier league player in the making.

Then DM decided he was a left back. Although we could all see he was not DM persisted with him in the LB position and he went backwards as a player. Confidence suffered imo.

Please Please RW play him instead of Williams when he is back fit and then we will see a rejuvenated Anderson and have a proper defensive centre back partnership.

John has to play centre back and should be starting when fit. No point playing him left back.

On loanees if there's some decent ones available in Jan i'd 100% be swapping all of them bar Galbraith. Probably keep the goalkeeper too unless there is someone more experienced who we can afford.

Talking about Anderson for me he’s been at his best playing Right of the two centre halves. Now Williams and Olowu are not right sided with only John left sided. Let’s not forget all three are 23 and under. If John returns fit then it would be good to see if Anderson on the right and John on the left would improve the defence. It would also give a better balance if we wanted to play a three at the back.
But going back to loan players then the only one liable to be for sale is Smith.

Olowu is a right sided CB. Also Anderson prefers playing on the left.
