From Rovers after leafletting;
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10264813/Nobby-Stiles-son-kicked-Doncasters-training-ground-handing-leaflets-heading.html

Serious issue this, but John should see that our lads have worked out how not to head the ball better than most.....the secret of our success.

The Daily Mail even uses the expression "kicked-out", which is clearly over the top...

...as we'd clearly have missed! (Sorry couldn't resist)

There's a way of going about things. It appears he didn't use his brain and chose the wrong way!

John is a clever lad and he knows that this will have given him more public awareness to his cause.

John has posted a video on his twitter asking for PFA support;

Worth a listen!

Heard him on the Toby Foster breakfast show this morning expressing his bewilderment and frustration with the club for refusing him access to players. He says he has written to all 92 league clubs as well as all the WSL clubs and is at another clubs training ground today.

Fair play for the dedication and commitment to his cause it has to be said but i feel he is flogging a dead horse.

Even if i was a 19 year old footballer with a career ahead of me and someone told me that potentially i could get dementia, i think at that age it would  go in one ear and out the other.

Do authorities need to do something about heading the football or is it again simply down to accepting personal risk from each individual player? So long as they are aware of the potential risks that heading a football might pose of course.

I wonder how long it will be before clubs add to players contracts that any future dementia claims against them won’t be entertained.

Whatever next, rugby without tackles ?
Boxing without punches?
Judo without throws?

Disappointed by the tone of the article, we all know the club is open to these type of things and would I'm sure happily let him present to the players. Hence the part about the formal approach.

During COVID times you can't just let anyone around the training ground.

"Man professing to be concerned about players' health amazed he's not allowed to disregard protective Covid precautions".

Is that a fair summation?

Isn't the training ground outside?

Heading will eventually be banned in football - hopefully not in my lifetime. The game won't be the same.

There are very strict protocols around access to training grounds and stadiums during this pandemic. Hence the ‘red zone’ around the players entrance and the replacements areas.

There’s no way he would be allowed to speak to the players or gain access for that very reason, either indoors or out.
