The injury room???
« on December 08, 2021, 06:04:00 pm by Arsenal Of The North »
So I’m just sat here trying to string some optimism together, and thinking who do we have returning and when? It’s all best guess at this stage but let’s give it a go and feel free to correct me where I’m wrong,

Close - knee knock and hamstring, could be back this weekend??

Vilcar - hamstring issue, possibly back this weekend?

Seaman - ankle ligament damage? Back on the grass running but no ball work yet, January?

Gardner - unknown to me his injury, but seen news similar to above? January?

Bostock - ankle injury, recently has surgery, back feb?

John - broken back (or along that line) seems to be moving around the keepmoat last night ok but possibly back feb?

Fej - surgery also, as above.

Taylor - pain with ankle still. Injections not working, last I seen indefinite spell on side line until they get to the bottom of the issue

Is there anyone else I have missed?

Fej we may never see him on a rovers shirt again. Im sure he is out of contract at the end of the season.

He is. I think not offering a contract extension will be a mistake. Especially in L2.

The problem with that list I'm not sure it would change that much if they were fit apart from fej and Taylor

I'd agree with that, apart from adding Close, John and Bostock and maybe Seaman into your list.

Unfortunately it’s a lost cause,
Time to think of next season in league 2 which has been the general idea from the start
Players don’t want to play in this atmosphere so injuries? Are a wayof hiding.........
It’s a sorry situation but that’s life......money,money money

bostock for me has done next to nothing, John I like as centre half but then you lose olowu as he was awful at left back, close again has not done anything but they would strengthen the bench if nothing else

I’m sure there is an option to extend

I thought the option was for this season, could be wrong though

First half last night was crying out for Bostock

Our best XI when everyone is fit is probably something like this...

Hiwula Okenabirhie Taylor
Close Bostock Galbraith
Rowe John Anderson Knoyle
Jones

Probably could do with a left back, defensive midfielder and a winger in January.

Seaman looked handy earlier in the season more so than Hiwula ever has i'd have him in my 1st choice 11 on right wing imo.

On Fej i think he might have a contract with an option to extend so we don't need to offer a new one? depends on how confident we are he can make a full recovery from injury. If we are then maybe now will be a good time to sort it. Would certainly be cheaper than waiting for him to be in goal scoring form. In L2 he could be a 20+ a season player if we get some decent service so would be a loss

We have missed Bostock massively in the last couple of weeks imo, Galbraith hasn’t looked the same player without him. I’m pretty sure Fej has an option for another year. Liam Hoden said after Saturdays game that Seaman should be back for the Christmas period.
