Good thing bad thing

Just heard on Radio Ulster that Sunderland have offered the manager job to R Keane until the end of the season

He hasn’t managed a league club for years

New manager impact against us if he takes it

Not really bothered to be honest, I’ll be happy with anything but an absolute hiding Saturday, I know it sounds really negative but I’d probably take a 3-0 reverse now. I’ll be at the Ipswich game but hold out about the same level of optimism there as well.

Most common home results for Sunderland this season are 2-1 and 5-0.

The former would be an excellent result for us. The latter probably closer to what we will end up with.

Pre-meditated violence against another player to end his career is GBH in my book.
Would have been in court if he did that anywhere else.

SS1953. The tackle was horrendous and he should have been prosecuted especially after he admitted it was premeditated in the first draft of his book which was quickly rewritten

The thread was really about whether if he takes the job there will be a new manager bounce and another hiding for the Rovers

Keane's abrasive style won't work in the day to day management of today's 'modern' footballer. In some ways that is a good thing but i think in these modern times, players get away with far too much on account of their 'sensitivities' shall we say.

Bad move IMO if Keane goes to Sunderland.

His previous managerial roles have none of them ended in glory. Good player. Horrible man.

People are too hooked on his punditry and think he'll be like that. He simply won't he's not that stupid.

Phil Neville might disagree Padge.
