Do we remember last summer when Wellens was hired, Copps was lined up alongside him, and everyone at the club banged on about finding out soul and identity again?

It could not have gone worse. I have never, ever felt so disconnected from the club and I've been going since I was 6 years old.

What has happened? Because the same people running things 10 years ago are there now...yet it's as if Doncaster Rovers has slipped away and been replaced by this empty shell.

All of that publicity last summer looks in hindsight like cynical glossing over of the issues that were already plaguing us, issues that have all gotten worse since then.

Worse still, I have zero confidence that any of this will improve in the summer or next season, because the things we're hoping to see should have all happened a year ago, or even further back.

This team does have an identity imo. Losers.

I said a bit ago the players play because they have to. It’s a chore to them. They don’t turn up to win a game of football it’s all the same to them. It was the same after Xmas last year. It’s what the clubs become. An easy ride. That’s for the opposition, our players, managers, recruitment guys all of them. It’s just easy. Turn up run about for 90min go home.

My mate is a Wrexham fan and itching to get at us next season since he says they have everything to prove to their fans .Now that actually illustrates the relative ‘ anima’ of clubs on the way up and those on the way down .

Before they do that, Graing, they'll have to beat some good teams in the play-offs. There's no way they'll catch Stockport for the title.

Empty rhetoric- that absolutely hits the nail on the head.
There is only so much one can listen too, even from some of the most respected people within the club, before you get to the point that it doesn’t mean a thing.
I have absolutely no idea what lies ahead for my club.
That makes me sad.
