Bessie, it was clearly well over the line mate.

One of my friends is blind and doesn’t watch football at all, and he said it was over the line.

Yes it was over the line, as the scoreline suggests, just couldnt tell immediately in real time from probably 90 metres away even with 20/20 vision as the net didnt move!

I don’t know what your problem is, Bessie, as the whole of the North Stand clearly saw that it wasn’t over the line! ;)

From my position in the South Stand, it was well over when their defender made a valiant attempt to stop it actually hitting the back of the net (he did, the ball didn’t). Trouble is the ball only has to be over the goal line - damn these rules! :silly:

Bessie, I think Alan is having a joke with you about whether the ball crossed the line, hence the winkie emoji.

A few nut jobs on there, a couple even suggesting the winner wasn’t over the line, how they can see that from the other end of the pitch is anyones guess, it was well over, no question
Tbf I didnt think that it had gone over the line (I sit in the last open section of seating in the West, next to away fans) and just thought that the lino had gone with the crowds cheer, not that I cared or anything.
2 ft over the line from where I was.....

Plus, Paddy Madden didn't score against us! Us being a sh*thouse team, and him not scoring against us, result all round!!

What a set of mardy b*st*rds. I detest sore losers. They've criticised everything from the stadium, to the home fans, and to our players, who they describe as a "sh*thouse" team.

Even before the game, one of their fans was mouthing at me through a car window because I was trying to cross the road.

Horrible fans. I hope they go back down.
We have some horrible fans that’s why I’ve stopped going away it’s embarrassing. On the plus side and on the whole we have great fans that make the match day experience so good.

2 feet over the line where everyone was

West Stand lino got the big calls right and great Ref rather than a "grate' ref. 4 points

That’s another match ban, then, if I’m not mistaken.

You are mistaken, Alan. It would only be an extra match ban if the appeal is considered to be flimsy; in other words unjustified.

I doubt that would be the case here, as even some of our own fans thought it was a soft red. I'm sure it will just be the usual 3 match ban.

Theres no way they would have won an appeal, they were trying to appeal on a technicality they reckoned the refs report said  elbowed him in the neck, footage clearly shows he didnt elbow Rowey it was his hand :) Whether its considered soft or not todays rules say its a red Glad to see a lino with some balls so to speak

I had a good look at the sending off incident again today and I hadn’t noticed first time that their player gets hold of Tommys arm and pulls him in towards him just before the hand off happens.

Whatever the footage shows, it definitely does NOT show that their lad didn't elbow Rowe.

If that was their case, they were wasting everyone's time and should have had another game added to the ban.
