Plans to double ground capacity to 10k+:

If it goes ahead this could spell a good future for the club.

That is good news ... as long as they can get it done before Prem is "sealed up"

Another Stand like the one there now would be good and look great and a Stand opposite Clubhouse end would be sensational

Good for Internationals but would need fan base growing unless until in Prem.

What sort of crowds do they get now?  The one thing they will get other sports don't is grants to help with the costs.
Rugby Union must be the other sport that is contesting women's football for the worst standard of international sport shown on TV.

This sounds very positive from the club and hints at future progression> They have done it the right way too, steady and sustainable within the clubs financial budget.

The only black cloud i can see on the horizon and its not from the pikey camp next door, is the road infrastructure around the ground is not the best. When we've had decent crowds at the Rovers its taken an age to get out of the car parks and the surrounding roads, this is with three car park exits and plenty of side road and lakeside parking. At Castle park you have one car park exit that could be extended to more but its all filtering out onto Armthorpe Lane which is single carriage way and not great to start off with.

I can see potential issues with the council and planning permission, hope they can do something to mitigate this as i can see this ambitious club having a very good go at holding their own among the top flight.

Loved Union ever since we were made to play at St Pete's, it became open warfare with all the big kids kicking the Shi*e out of the rest of us. It was the only game you could play at school where you could get away with taking your teacher out. It happened a few times.

Yes the parking would be an issue. Last time I went I'm sure you could only turn left towards Sportsman and if going Armthorpe the had to spin round at Leger Way Roundabout

They held traffic coming out of Armthorpe for a few minutes at a time but with Gates going way beyond 2000 if they "crack" this it wouldn't be good enough to just stick with that

I started parking in Armthorpe but there were lots doing that.

Go by bus but get stuck in traffic on way back

Danum School opens it's grounds for parking but again one way out onto main road.
