If he would drop a league

I would go for James Norwood, 31 years old, proven goalscorer.
I’ve heard this and that about him but for me his goal scoring ability out shoots that. He’s exactly what we need, a real goal threat. Available from Ipswich.

Also add Mark Beevers from Peterborough at centre half, 32 years old. Then add some legs around them.

Just his injuries that concern me but if he can stay fit then it looks a canny signing for me .

Norwood has signed one year deal with Barnsley.

so the Dingles have finally learnt to count past 25 and celebrated that fact by signing a 31 years old - thats 25 plus 6 for the benefit of the less learned Dingles

We won't be signing any more strikers now, if Agard stays.

I had Norwood as a suggestion in my article last month, but we've since filled the position with Miller and Andrews and I'd be surprised if we added another to those two, Griffiths and Agard now.

Or to make it easier. 25 plus the fingers on one hand.

Good signing for Barnsley.

As I say Sammy if he can play the majority of the games he should be good for 15 to 20 goals for us .

Just a little concerned that last season he started to pick up some injuries and at 31 years of age players tend not to get over them as quickly as the younger lads .

Glad to see we have added some experience at long last to help some of the younger lads .

We've signed five players all for nowt so far , contracts run down at their previous clubs so it pretty much tells you where we are with our finances .

Saying that they all have enough previous to be potentially very good at League One level , centre back Cundy played the whole of the second half of last season in Bristol City's defence .

Cadden the left wing back was instrumental in Forest Green winning the league two title with 10 goals and 12 assists .

I'll be extremely happy if we can push for 5th or 6th place and chance our arm in the play offs after last season's catastrophe .

I would have been happy if we had signed him, Tyke. There were rumours of his attitude not being the best at his previous club. Probably here say from supporters that didn’t like him. If he stays fit he will get you that. I know the Tranmere lot were hoping he went back there, but thought they couldn’t afford him.

Barnsley usually do pretty well with signings. I think we’ve done well so far. Miller from you is very hard working and has a goal in him. The club has had a massive negative to turn round after relegation.

We’ve improved staff, the biggest plus is that Coppinger seems to be having a good influence in getting things done better. Still work to do but we seem to be getting there. Encouraging win against Huddersfield while remembering it was a friendly.
