Can’t fault the man under duress made the right call on Ravenhill and his reaction to Tomlin spoke volumes, Kudos to the man over circumstances out of his control

What was his reaction to Tomlin

When Tomlin got off his backside to confront the ref he made it very clear he needed to get his backside down the tunnel

Should have gone for it with them corners in injury time 4 centre half's on the pitch and two 6 foot plus strikers

We were better organised so he deserves credit for that.

But we still have this amateurish nature to us; red cards, potential red cards, early subs, subbing a sub and of course the usual pre match injury.

For once I’d love us to just play a game well to the plan no dramas like a clinical professional team. No need for wholesale changes or half time subs.

I know that’s not all on GM there’s nothing he can do about Tomlin and Ravenhill was the right call. Just something I want to see in the next few games to show progress from last season

He sub the sub because Tomlin was sent off so he had to change it.

We wouldn’t have drawn that last year.
The back 4 were outstanding and the goalkeeper

The whole set up was f**ked due to Rowe getting freak injury, load of other senior players injured including new signing Molyneux, and both the sub of Ravenhill and sending off of Tomlin. It was an odd mix of players who would not have started or even played usually, but the circumstances demanded. They all put in a good shift today bar Tomlin.

I agree on all this. Just saying in future games that’d be a huge sign of progress

Completely agree with this - we could have snuck a winner, Bradford only had one up top when we got the corners - needed throwing in the box for a huge smash and grab.

That being said we were organised under a lot of pressure, and big calls from GMc and SE seemed decent. Point away v Bradford playing 55 mins with 10men is a decent start.

Just going to post the same dickos.

We would have probably lost that game 3 or 4 nil last season.
I thought the 10 men showed some real guts and determination. That back 4 with the help of those in front of them are a different kettle of fish from last season.

Absolutely nicking these points in tricky situations is massive, we'd have stayed up last year if we'd done this at Morecambe for example.

I'm convinced we have the right manager he just needs a bit of luck.

Disagree, the centre halves were like fish out of water first half, the lad Oliver was getting behind them & winning most balls in the air. Second half they were much improved. Right back & left back were excellent & the keeper solid.

Williams won everything in the air today.

As much as this would have been nice. If the ball had fallen straight into the keeper’s hands we’d have been done for and we’d be absolutely slating McSheffrey for that decision. One he couldn’t win really. I was calling for it too but in hindsight, the right call.

Heading for the corner was the only sensible option there. Don't forget Heffernan against Arsenal!

There was one where Andrews miscontrolled it and it went out for a GK when he probably should and could have nudged it out for a throw in.

I had flashbacks of Arsenal at that moment!

If we’d put those corners into the box I’d have felt like we’d learned nothing from last season. So many times last year we did part of the job and then capitulated. Putting the ball into the box would’ve given Bradford the last chance to break that they were desperate for after we’d already done the hard work to earn a point in very difficult circumstances. Proud of how organised and disciplined we were yesterday, and of the ‘dark arts’ we had to show to see the game out. McSheffrey and his staff deserve huge credit for that.

Wasn’t pretty but it was pretty effective. It was great to see we are not going to get bullied in this league

I agree, the full backs were good but I’m not convinced by the CB’s.

Absolutely agree 100% with that assessment Jono.

McSheffrey’s game management yesterday was perfect to a tee.

Bringing Josh Andrews on as target man & dropping Miller deeper into midfield to make a 441 formation worked a treat. Jack Degruchy slotted in & worked his socks off. Again, subbing him at the time was perfect. He’d done a job & remember he’d only been with the squad a few days. At eighteen he can be proud of his contribution.

They had 80% possession yet in the main we were able to restrict them into playing high balls into the box which Mitchell was able to ‘gobble up’.

Those players certainly bonded with the supporters yesterday. Hats off to them & the manager.

The less said about Tomlin the better.
