Wimbledon away parking
« on August 08, 2022, 03:47:05 pm by Imissbellevue »
Is there parking at Wimbledon or is it easier parking on the outskirts of London and getting the train or tube?

See if there's anything decently priced on yourparkingspace. I've booked someone's drive 15 minute walk away. Good website, I've used it in a few difficult to park places.

On another topic there was talk about parking at cockfosters, as it's the most northern suburb with a tube stop, then just getting the train down, avoiding all the London traffic...

When some Bradford City mates go down they park at Watford and then in by rail.

I’ve never used this site but how do you know which is your slot once you booked?  I clicked on one and just comes up with street name.

Plenty of parking in / around the resedential areas off Garratt Lane; five minutes walk from the away turnstiles.

I tend to book people's drives so not 100% if you're looking at a car park, but you tend to get further instructions once you've made your booking, so I imagine it'll tell you. Also worth reading user reviews of the space as sometimes there's information worth taking note of in there.

If it's someone's street space, it'll give you instructions on booking.

Park at Stanmore on M1. Get the tube into London. Any other would be regarded as stupidity.

Is this free street parking? I’m taking my two young boys so now driving. Won’t be going to the pubs and not fussed about taking them via the tube for a 15-20 minute walk at the other end

considering they are very close to each other, and you don't know where everyone is setting off from, calling folk stupid who takes a different journey to you seems a tad aggressive?

You'll struggle for free street parking here. This is one of the only places I've ever paid to park at. Loads of restrictions.
