So, DF is a liar and a bad coach, GM is also a liar and is unable to motivate a team, DM was only looking for a big club, and so couldn't cope with a budget, RW couldn't manage a massive budget and employed poor players with it, having run out of money for a striker. 4 managers all poor at their job, according to those "who know", amazing any of them have had any success since isn't it? When you get arguments like these you have to look at common factors...... that one I will leave up to you!

Burn them at the stake!

We didn’t’t have much time to build anything after McCann left, because we had to wait 4 weeks to go through the Boards process!

Yet when MCCann wanted come back stronger he couldn’t get the players off his list to improve us. He made it difficult so some players left to all ow him to have some funds but it was not enough Hull came calling and the rest is history.
Things haven’t changed yes over the last two years we have brought in players we could afford has the quality improved no. Did we replace Whiteman and Marquis with better or even the same quality no.
Second half of last season and this season we’ve brought in good young players which we hope will improve. A couple seasoned pros which we hope will stay fit.
But at this moment we have not seen our best eleven that played in preseason together.
We will only see if the squad when and if all fit can get us out of this league.
Then we return to the conundrum if we are promoted can we get the quality to move to the next step or even challenge.
Which Ferguson, MCCann, Moore,Wellens and McSheffrey couldn’t is it the managers or the club that self sufficiency comes before ambition

That's just a nonsense. Your memory must be shocking as GMc had already started stripping back the club before he accepted Hull's offer. He wasn't disappointed with DRFC at all and he's never spoke negatively about the club, he just wanted the money that Hull were prepared to pay.

Do you think this is a binary situation? Is it self sufficiency or ambition?

It can be both you know, which is the route we've been down for a number of years now. Every club out there is striving to be self-sufficient and quite a number are, yet we seem to be the only bunch of supporters who criticise our club for being so. That's just being short sighted.

I think most people appreciate the excellent work done on sustainability, which is very admirable. What is shocking is how what is no doubt a more than healthy budget at this level, has been pissed away on dross for the last couple of seasons.

I am not that bothered why he left, just that he left, we have been and are better off without him.

I really don’t know why we are having this debate over Fergie again.
He left in June 2018
Don’t you think we should move on.

Desperate people and all that. I don't get why would SM lie after all he has done for us and the game as a whole. People put up pathetic posts hoping to prove him wrong. I've never met SM but for the work he has done over the years is not the work of a liar. Possible people don't like he has an inside view and people can't take that.

Move on

C’mon Campsall, we’re still talking about SOD, Billy Sharp, Alick Jeffrey & Mark Weaver (spit).

No SM my memory is not wrong he started getting players to leave so he could bring in the list of players he had. He went on Holiday when he came back expecting players to have been signed nothing had happened. Hull came bidding and he left also some of the players on the list went with him GK CH CF at least. You might say I’m wrong then prove it.

In the 18 months up to the start of this season the self sufficiency has not improved the side unexpectedly in the chairman’s eyes got us relegated.
This season he expects to bounce back and managers aim is top three. So we will see if self sufficiency and ambition match and are not just a binary situation

I've no issue with this self sufficiency thing but

"it limits what we can do" as the DOF said pre season

Let's not forget, after covid, things have got moving again so I would imagine income will be quite healthy at the moment. Now I don't imagine We're going to blow every penny right now but the situation could be improving going forward. Of course, it will help even more if results help us to get more through the turnstiles.
