Just watching Sheffield Utd and realised it’s the anniversary of Billy scoring against Middlesbrough

11 years ago and ths first time I cried at a DRFC game, still get a lump in my throat looking at the footage now, think our next match was away at Ipswich and Billy scored again & seem to remember the whole ground seemed to celebrate it, yet another poignant moment.

He was certainly ‘loved’ & I think he still knows it to this day.

I wouldn’t be surprised if ne returned here in some capacity one day.

He always said he wants to return one day. Think the dream of it being as a player has unfortunately passed tho.

I would have loved him even more if he had left for Southampton for £3 million in the close season rather than going in January for £1.1 million.
That move could have kept up and kept SOD in a job.

Without a doubt, one of the most electrifying moments since we moved to the new stadium. The supporters (to a man, or woman) chanting Billy, Billy Sharp straight after was unbelievable (has there been a louder chant in our stadium?).

Memorable.
