As long as we are not losing money then the board will be happy.

The way the attendances are falling away I wonder how long the not losing money thing will last though.

They've already got the season ticket money from the 2000 season ticket holders not even bothering each week.

The match day payers well....

The 2000 not going might not bother buying STs next season though.
I’m seriously considering not bothering renewing mine next season to see if I miss going to games.
I haven’t enjoyed watching us since McCann left.

With the boring tactics on show the attendances will fall below 4k  maybe even lower by the end of Feb  very quickly. While some diehard fans will turn up week in week out, the fans who can only attend selected games due to other commitments will just decide that it isn't worth the money that it costs to watch the foot all.

£20/21 for a ticket
£4 a pint x2 possibly (over £2 if you stick to soft or hot drinks)
Price of something to eat.
Add in any fuel transportation costs, and then the added costs if you bring your children along for their tickets and drinks and any food they have.

Who really wants to do that when all we are doing is playing keep ball between Anderson and Mitchell. It's not exactly edge of your seat stuff.

“It's difficult to explain straight after the game,” said Schofield, whose team was booed off by the travelling fans who stayed until the final whistle at Prenton Park.

F*ck me what chance have we got when the man who orchestrated it can't explain it ??

All after having had time " to get it into them how we play" and "they're a lot fitter"

What a shambles - worst ever in my 55 years

Can’t disagree with any of that Butchers.

Strikes me DS is now on ‘the back foot’ when trying to explain the ‘performance/s’ of his teams.

I think we all expected better upon his appointment, not the same old.

He is an absolute disgrace which is why he fits in well with the club as it is right now. Bloody heartbreaking where the club is right now. Pains me to say it but I don’t feel it will be long before Copps starts feeling the fans frustrations which is a massive shame with how much of a legend he is!

The whole club is a complete circus from top to bottom.

As it stands, I won’t be renewing next season. Just don’t enjoy going to games anymore. Had a season ticket for 18 years but this will be my last

I know times are hard.

For those of you not renewing your season ticket when in truth you can financially afford it, & are not doing so because the team is playing poorly, we have no ‘vision’ for the foreseeable future, you can’t see yourself getting your ‘money’s worth’, please think again.

The club…our club, relies on season ticket sales to be able to plan for the upcoming season.

Yes I know we’ve been on a downward spiral since the Ben Whiteman sale (he was too good for us, be honest) but it’s now the club needs us more than ever.

We can castigate players, managers & owners…..they all eventually come & go. We remain.

We remain because ultimately we’re Doncastrians & Doncaster Rovers are OUR team, our club.

So whilst you may not like the dross currently being served up, it won’t get any better for lack of finance. That comes from the board & us, the supporters.

So however disillusioned you’re feeling RIGHT NOW please, bite the bullet I ask you & don’t turn your back on those hoops.

Well said Colin. I’m as disillusioned as the next man at present, but it doesn’t mean I won’t be there next season. Anyway, we will be in League 1 via the playoffs by then  :) :woot: :woot: :woot:

Totally agree with that. On Thursday, I'll be watching on iFollow, so, as a ST holder, I'll have paid the club twice over for the game. Also, I'll be renewing my ST next season come what may.

However, supporting the club financially is one thing, but trailing up to the Eco in the cold to watch dross every match is another. I won't be doing much of that unless things drastically improve.

This is a good post. But the sheer amount of people talking about not renewing is a major concern. I do think someone from up top needs to come out and discuss what’s going on, what the plan is. The fans deserve some kind of effort.

To do nothing when so many are disillusioned will not be good enough.

Is there a meet the owners planned anytime soon?

The board has clearly lost interest in the club so why can't the fans.

I was a season ticket holder for 25 years, and no chance of getting  another and that goes for 1000s more.

The board are slowly killing this club I'm afraid.

Would you keep paying for your favourite beer in your local if it was flat all the time just to keep the pub open?

They’ve been planning one for weeks and weeks.

Presently, what would be the point?

Everyone feels crap after a defeat like that, our cycle has been downwards for the last few years, it will bottom out at some stage, could be this season still in L2 or it could be next season in tier5 but it will turn.

We as fans don't have a great deal we can do to improve the clubs performance at this time bar keep turning up and supporting them.

One thing we can be sure of, if we don't do this then we will be performing our part in relegating the club to insignificance sooner than anyone could know.

Its crap just now, how much worse could it be without a club?

You move on to the next pub (football club) down the road if you truly believe that is an analogy worth comparing the two with.

‘My football club’ is like family to me. In fact, there have been times when as a boy it was a welcome distraction from ‘family’.

And that football club happens to be Doncaster Rovers.

Not Boddingtons, John Smiths, Tetleys or even whatever CAMRA ale you might sup.

Rovers v Flat Ale?!

Is that the best (no pun intended) you can come up with?!

Get real…..& I don’t mean as in ‘real ale’!

Jog on.

The board are not bothered about financing a successful football club so why should the fans finance the club through buying season tickets when their money is not being spent towards a successful football/management team. Penny pinching everywhere throughout the club. The only way fans can show their disgust is through their absence. Hopefully fans stick to their word and it forces a change of approach at boardroom level.

That performance and those tactics at Tranmere were a disgrace. Mr Blobby could get more of a tune out of those players than Mr Schofield did at Preston Park.
