I have watched Armthorpe Welfare v Wakefield FC today and came away with a smile on my face having seen an enjoyable game of football, how I wish I could say the same about the Rovers,

They'd both beat us at the moment.

OK, tongue in cheek, but you know what I mean.

You've seen a thriller by the looks of it.
My lad and I started watching Harrogate Railway, who are in the same league. last season, and was really surprised at how good the football is a that level (Step 6).
Rail are really good to watch, try and play on the floor and before hitting teams on the break with their pace. Only £5 to get in, plus you can have a pint while you stand near the dug outs and their Irish manager, former flat jockey, Mick O'Connell, who is highly entertaining.

Play it on the floor? Not in my day they didn't/couldn't the pitch was a mud heap, made my debut for Broddie 1st team there back in the early 70's. Changing room was an old railway carriage with a little pot bellied stove for heating

I did say 'try'. The changing rooms are now housed in a nice new club house that was built a few years ago overlooking the pitch.

When I was a young lad I played for Pannal Sports and one of players transferred’ to Harrogate Railway mid season. There were rumours of back handers, it was quite the scandal.
