Longest current winless run in the EFL
« on April 26, 2023, 12:08:05 pm by steve@dcfd »
Longest current winless run in the EFL (league games)

1️⃣Reading - 11
2️⃣Doncaster Rovers - 9
3️⃣Sutton United - 9
4️⃣Walsall - 8
5️⃣Blackburn Rovers - 7
6️⃣Shrewsbury Town - 7

Unless Walsall beat Crawley or we beat Colchester on Saturday then the last game of the season against Walsall will change that or it could be a draw.

Ds latest video is laughable. Talking about togetherness when he is probably just about to bin 10/11 players.

It’s been nine games since a win, but that was a very close win against Wimbledon who have been on a terrible downward spiral themselves.

Other than that, we haven’t had a win for 13 games since our 3 game winning winning streak in February.

We couldn’t have asked for a better end of season ‘run in’ with almost all of our games being against teams in the bottom half of the league…… our results and performances in these games have been quite appalling.

All true. Except it's actually 1 win in 14 not 13.

6 points won in those last 14 games.

A worse points per game record than was managed by Rovers in the 1997/98 season for perspective.

This is true but worth pointing out in that time that we have had worse runs. When Fergie took us down in 2016 we had a run of 14 games where we only picked up 2 points, draws against Millwall and Rochdale. This run is dire and I'm making no excuses for it, but it's 3 times better than that one!

We are a league lower as well Nick
So statistically it might not be as bad but let’s face it there is no excuse for this appalling season we have ended up having.
How any Manager of Doncaster Rovers can keep his job after with 31 points in 30 games in the bottom league which might end up 31 points in 32 games of we lose the last 2 is beyond comprehension.
We are supposed to be a big club in this League aren’t we. Well that’s what I thought.
