Thanks for posting that BB.  I've been avoiding this site for a while now as all the negativity is just depressing but that video really cheered me up.  A reminder of much simpler times.  I remember Willie Watson as a player under Lawrie Mc but I was only a young lad then.
Can you imagine a championship player catching a bus to training  !!

Really enjoyed that BB. I played against Willie at junior school level, when I was at Hawthorn school in Cantley. Later when I met my late wife, who also went to Woodfield school, we would sometimes see Willie in and around Doncaster and he would always stop and have a chat.

Probably the best business the Rovers ever did, exchanging Willie & Denis Leigh, for Wilcockson, Clish and Rabjohn, from Rotherham.

Tommy Docherty was the new manager at Rotherham and indiscriminately got rid of all those in his squad who were not young. Watson was a talent, as was Leigh, but the 3 from Rotherham who would only be in their mid-late twenties were real class and the basis of the promotion side of 68/69.

Apparently, Laurie Sheffield said Tommy Docherty was the worst manager he ever played under.
