Noticed Kyle was named on the bench but then seemed to be replaced by Goodman

How the hell can they injure themselves warming up if they are fit and following good warming up practices?  FFS!

Would a fit Kyle Hurst have got in to Harrogate’s starting XI yesterday?

I ask this because quite a few can’t understand why he doesn’t start for us.

Don’t know if it’s a confidence thing but when he has played he seems to be stopping and looking to pass rather than taking on defenders. Also seems to get brushed off the ball even easier. For those reasons I can see why he doesn’t start, that said he may need the games to rectify these traits

Strange that Kyle appeared to be the 1 player mcsheffrey brought in who seemed very promising imo. The team decline appears to have damaged his confidence??

When he first came back, he showed flashes of what we'd been missing but something is still effecting him. Maybe his injury isn't fully right and it's effecting his confidence. Catch 22 maybe when he can't be justified the game time which he needs. You would hope whatever it is, shows up in training.

He’s obviously not fully fit, will still be a very good player once fit again

Was at his best when him & Maxwell were linking up down the left hand side together

I remember when GMc got the job and he was discussing the team. I distinctly remember him saying he was looking forward to working with Kyle Hurst. I wonder if Kyle's being asked by McCann to perform a particular role that he's unfamiliar with, and taking time to adjust to it.
Just a thought, as I thought he looked a really direct type of player when he first arrived.

Think McCann asked him to play the role of a fully fit player.

Even when he is in the squad I'm not sure he's fully rated by McCann and imo I don't think he will be here next season.

A player with mega potential likely to be hindered by changing managers and the block this puts in the way of development. Faulkner another player likely to be hindered this. These are players owned by the club that could potentially be devalued by the actions of managers that think the grass is greener on the other side. Fitness dependent, it’s criminal if Bobby and Kyle don’t play an acceptable % of minutes to keep them developing.

It’s not like the 11 we’re putting out at the moment are doing great. If we’re playing 433 no way Faal should be anywhere other than centre forward. Hurst is much better suited

Where does Hurst play?

He's a liability at defending, so you need a 100% attacking role for him.

Where is that?

The likes of Hurst , Maxwell, Faulkner & Bailey are the future of the club and need to be developed in the hope they bring us success and then hopefully moved on for a decent fee. The only player that we've done this with in recent times that springs to mind is Whiteman.

Best off the left hand side for me drifting infield at times. The defensive side can be coached into his game, but he's got attributes that can't be coached like quick feet & great balance when he travels with the ball. The squads been obliterated by injuries in recent times but it would be good to have Hurst & Molyneux down either flank and being able to form a regular partnership with their respective full back if it's a flat back four.

So why aren't they getting the minutes?

McCann said after the meet the owners yesterday that Hurst is still struggling with his fitness after the injury and hopes the Wigan game will help him get back up to speed.

I would be worried as a player, if I wasn’t getting opportunities when the side isn’t getting results, and is playing so badly.
I don’t see that Hurst and Faulkner could do any worse than the more established players. Once fully fit for me, they would get their chances to start. The players he has picked on the whole, have let him down over the season.

But obviously Hurst isn’t fit and went from being on the bench to not available
