Odds for Saturday…

Rovers currently 23/20. That’s printing money. At home to a side predicated to struggle this season against the drop.

Either someone’s messed up or they don’t think we are very good.

Easy money I feel on these odds, I also have a 5-0 bet on that's 100/1, maybe a bit of madness but its great to have the football back, a few bets in the pocket and now a decent lager to drink at the ground to top it off.

Perhaps a better bet would be Rovers to win and over 2.5 goals in the match

Rovers last 4 games have had a total of 3 goals in pre season. Not sure about the high goals

Harrogate weren't expected to do much last season, but pulled a few good results out,

Harrogate look like they’ve recruited smartly.

And Luke Armstrong is a good striker.

I hope we win and we well could win but everyone laughing last season saying bookies odds for us were a joke as were multiple predictions saying we’d get nowhere near promotion, should think twice about criticising the odds out there.

I too have noticed ours odds look very good, and have had a couple of lumps on us to win,the only thing worrying me is how well Harrogate are in this following table that is made from last 10 seasons,4th and we are 18th,mind you,we have been in Higher division than Harrogate all that time.

Stats/runs like this are interesting but ultimately meaningless. If we’d had the same manager for the entire time it might carry some weight in terms of our pre-season preparations but our irate game under Moore, Wellens, Ferguson etc with an almost entirely different set of players for the whole period has zero bearing on our ability to win on Saturday.

We certainly had some irate games under Wellens and Ferguson.

Much of that is true, CBCB, but surely bookies are aware of managerial situations at clubs.

They must know of the difference between the managerial CV of GM, and those of Gary Mac and DS.

That was the second game that season. First was away at Southend, which we also won (3 - 2)

The earlier post was that we haven’t won at HOME on opening day since 2004. We’ve certainly won away since then.

Since 2004 we've had 11 away fixtures to start a season and 7 home fixtures, 4 of which were in the last 6 seasons - the early 'bias' in that time was for away fixtures.
