You do realise that crowing when we win is the same as moaning when we lose?  You are not on the high ground here and are just being provocative for no reason, beyond petty point scoring.

Frankly, I’m tired of reading this kind of puerile post from both sides and think a section of our supporters need to grow up and get a life.

Not really, the positive folk still come on here and post after a poor result but we have a number of people that only ever appear on here after a defeat. If you support a football club why would that be?
Why would you only want to discuss negativity?
It makes zero sense and they deserve to be criticised

Not all supporters crow when we are winning and not all gloat when we lose. There are certain posters though  that can’t wait to be negative after a loss or poor display but never give credit after a good performance or a win. To be fair I would rather they weren’t commenting because it usually means that we are doing well.

You are making my point for me. A relatively small group of posters take extreme positions and dominate this board with their bickering. I’m tired of it.

I think most people want to see diversity of thought on here and actually embrace reasoned debate. Some seem unable to accept any contrary opinions, take everything as a personal insult and quickly descend to name calling.

The initial post is unnecessary and only meant to provoke IMO.

Don’t believe I’ve crowed about anything it’s just a dig about the negative posters disappearing.
If it bothers you so much why comment??

I think the fact that certain people are missing after such a great and deserved win after a Season of us being consistently inconsistent validates the point being made

Lots of people say "well we are all Rovers , aren't we ?" . Well I don't think we are. Obviously there will be some WUMs on any subject on any Forum and ours is no different

Loads of people on here will be here every game , after every result , be it good bad or ( as a lot lately) indifferent

I contrast that with those who only come out after a poor result , or after a Club announcement or deed  they don't like so I'm glad they aren't here.

We do want rational debate and as always welcome those from other Clubs with an outsider looking in which are enlightening as opposed to those mentioned earlier who criticise everything every time they take to the Forum

It’s very hard to have reasoned debate when some only engage if we lose

Point proved.

Youve proven nothing other than you think it’s ok for people to jump on here only after a defeat. Slagging off everything to do with the club, and never appear at all when we win.
Soprano,
Jim
Upton

Etc etc

Did I say that I thought that was ok?

What I actually said was:

‘Some seem unable to accept contrary opinion, take everything as a personal insult…’.

The reply from Roversdude was:

‘If it bothers you so much why comment?’.

Hence he proved my point.

Does that help to clarify?

Just FYI, and to add further clarity, I don’t like the negative posts sometimes, but people are entitled to different opinions.

I just can’t see the point in trying to provoke further antagonistic debates with this kind of post.

Frankly though, I can’t be arsed, so feel free to crack on and I’ll return to ignoring the pointless bickering, name calling and wind up attempts.

No one can be happy with how the season has gone. I for one think we have underperformed massively.

Problem is, some posters can’t do “reasoned” debate..  regardless of the perspective taken, all to often posts are over exaggerated ( for effect ?) and have no logical argument behind them..

Personally, I blame the owners..

(Joking, obviously)

OR - for conspiracy theorists - are there are other forces at work????
Since I have been out of the country the clubs fortunes have dramatically improved - unbeaten - scoring for fun !!!!!
Perhaps it is my special powers?

Why does every thread on here have to turn into an argument and this one even started out as an argument?
It's hard to ever comment on this site when you know the usual trolls will always jump in and say something, whether you say things are going well or not.
